Hello guys, my engine light will on after i drive over 120km/h. And after checking the mechanic say is my speed sensor rosak liaw. and it cost around RM40 for the speed sensor. Total cost will be around RM80 include installation. Is the price ok?
Can i know whr is the speed sensor location? mayb i can pasang myself.. haha
speed sensor is located behind ur speedometer ... i think i did mention in ur thread in Technical Talk before ...
if ur speedo is white in color, u will notice a small black piece right away ... or take a pic then i point it out for u ...

anyone experienced high black oil consumption before in 4G15 EFI auto?
-changed valve seal = still "eating" blacking oil~
-checked for smoke from exhaust pipe = no black-smoke
-checked for leaking = spark plug distributor part got very little wet (is it possible leaking?) but no significant oil drop on floor if car is park overnite
-oil consumption only happen after hard-driving (high speed 140km/h, rpm 4~5k)
any ideas?
and rear left spring making "ngek-ngek" sound when goin over bumps, is that normal?
in ur case, most probably is engine oil vaporize due to the immense heat ...
wat viscosity of engine oil u using? .. using too thin viscosity (?w30 and below) might also make it vaporize ...
possible solution, lose/spoiled engine cap... engine oil viscosity too low ...
some information for u and the others,
checking for smoke is useless, unless ur engine is really in serious shit.... u should check the exhaust muffler tip, run ur finger around the muffler tip and check if the tip are oily after a drive ... if its oily then means engine oil is going into ur combustion chamber ... but i highly doubt it coz u changed valve seals, better check to confirm ...
check the area below + around the engine bay ... sometimes it might be ur engine valve cover gasket harden thus causing a leak, we call it engine oil 'seeping' out ... check for oil stains ... in this situation, u will probably need to topup engine oil once a month or a month half depending on how serious the condition ...
about ur ngek ngek .. i think its ur abs ... coz spring seldom problem this kind of sound and if camber it should be 'klok klok' ... not sure about this so correct me if i am wrong ...

dont look for black smoke, look for..er..bluish (is it blue? cant remember..I think it is) white, BLUEISH WHITE, black smoke will only come out if the mixture is too rich (I think)
valve seal? I think you should look at your piston ring.
its your spring making a problem, or probably your absorber, or both

change it la...nowadays Wira part very cheap...
Miss my Wira

read above .... don simple say piston ring .... piston ring is always the last thing to look at coz its the most expensive and difficult thing to repair ...
i hate it (not refering to u) that those cb mech, when mention about engine oil consumption 1st time they mention is piston rong kong and the only way to repiar is full/top overhaul ...
changing the spring and abs are not cheap lo, whole set good abs around RM1k+, of course gotta see brand, type and sports/comfort ... it is recommended if u wan change then change a pair ... don change one single one ... springs are mostly lifetime usage, seldom have problem unless DIY cut or mod or factory defect ..
