i would grab the PS3, cos for phones, don get now...maybe end of the year, of early next year, if u can wait(or if ur current phone can wait)
there are WM7, Symbian^4 coming out..and the android OS also getting it's steroid with 3D games and cool apps...not to mention, in the iphone OS 3.2 SDK beta, multitasking codes for 3rd party apps are discovered, that means most likely later update or the new gen iphone would have native(no need jailbreak) multitasking

i wonder, how does microsoft does when comes to winmo?
every phone can upgrade to further version, or the phone kind of stuck where it stands?

also what is the case for android? since it is open source, it should be upgrade as freely as user wants to, rite?

one thing i choose omnia 2 is because the 3d acceleration is v2, most others are v1

the thing is...WM6.5, there are not really that much application that make use of the 3D Acceleration..not to mention, there is no native multitouch support, not optimized for finger usage..
check out engadget for the WM7 games...i think you would be blown away...

as for android, if u are looking into games, check out ExZues, can see on youtube also i think, and as for apps...it's default movie player and music player is already quite good, not to mention vendors like samsung will add DivX support in it..however for android, camera function is not yet that complete, and the apps still aint that much

all phones will be upgraded, no doubt, but this is not just about upgrade, it's about new OS, that might have the potential to a whole different level of softwares and functions available..i mean, why settle down with the old OS when new OS is near release..

so far i ran the compatibility test. all no problem except the ATi Catalyst Install Manager. they say delete then reinstall after upgrading.

is that the whole driver or what ? cant seem to find ati drivers for win7 on benq's site

it will not damage, but there might have a potential compatibility issue between drivers...

iirc MS has plans to simplify and port some XBOX titles to WM7...

heard it's going to use graphic accelerator from AMD...
