ah well I think it's overheating issue.. just played some games for 1 hour and GPU-z reports a whooping max temp of 98.5C @@ and that's when I play in air-cond room. oh well..

chan

Seems like got something wrong with your GPU hmm.gif...usually yours wouldn't hit that kind of temp (what game you play??)...that is quite high sweat.gif..even my 9600M GT in a air-con room didn't reach that kind of temp even when playing GRID at mid setting smile.gif...

Maybe you should send it over to the Service Center to check nod.gif

it seems that it got hotter and hotter since the first day i bought it without me realising. I used to play cod4 without problems but it's starting to fail me now, not to mention those games like GRiD that are even more graphics intensive..

is their service centre at Jaya One or Tropicana? either way it' impossible for me to go there during weekdays given that how a road fool i am.. this sucks ><

Tropicana is better i guess..need to ask BBXiong for more info though...well, astria suggestion might as well be good for a short-term solution as cleaning it might as well reduce the temp slightly lower than before nod.gif

yesterday i tried opening the plate where the heatsink is sided, but no luck as it seems like it won't be removed without excessive force so i can't check on it, but the other side where the RAM (and the air vents) resides can be removed easily, and is very clean..

well maybe i should just vacuum the hell out of the exhaust first and see if anything improves..

Well, should be the first step to do nod.gif...don't open recklessly the heatsink unless you really know what you are doing nod.gif..

yeah I wouldn't dare to do that smile.gif not stupid enough to void my warranty biggrin.gif

btw, is there any statings that anything non-factory added to the lappy will void the warranty? I meant adding another 2GB RAM, 'cause I heard from my friend that adding RAM voided his Toshiba warranty. I don't want it to happen when I bring mine to the SC..
