depends on what blades u use ..
CF blades .. 99.99% gone case when hit
wood blades cannot do too high RPM .. 50% chance of surviving

2nd time is no more maiden laaa
its 2nd flight .. hahahahaa

do u have a hobbywing ESC ??

Added on May 29, 2010, 1:26 amvery well flown ... for 2nd flight
did i not say SIM pays back alot ?? hahahahaaa

i think it is time to take off those training kit already
u can fly without it for sure ... just have a little bit of confidence

Yeah true bro...i think if u didnt advise me on practice on sim first, i would already crash my heli..

Take off? Dun wan la..i want to do alishamano routine first..then i might think of taking of those..haha...

Anyway, actually, my gain is very low at 17..if i put on 40 ..the tail wag like crazy

nw i haf this prob.. Tail is spinning to the left..i have to input rudder to left during hover..

Is it bcoz of

1. My tail servo rod to tail rotor not straight?
2. My gain is too low?

Added on May 29, 2010, 12:28 pmtrue man, haha...if i didnt listen to ur advise on practice on sim, i would already crash it.

Anyway i do haf a prob, my tail is drifting to the left, i need to constantly keep the rudder input to left to keep it tail in.

is it bcoz of:

1. Hbk401b gyro is set too low at 17? (if i set it at 40, it wag like crazayyy)

2. My rod from tail servo to tail rotor is not straightened? (it does curve abit...)

im nt using hobbywing esc, i heard its very good, im currently using turnigy esc 30a. Not sure if i need to upgrade my esc to hobbywing...

what is punch? Always heard it, but dont know what it is. Anyway approximately how many minutes after flying to touch the esc?
How to straighten my rod, mine is kinda long, can i cut it?

Added on May 29, 2010, 3:53 pmok i get it, i know what is punch now, it is extensively used in all tareq al saadi flying video...

I tried doing tht, but my heli cant punch maybe they set the beginner curve for me...so that it is not sensitive

So how do i adjust this punch thingy?

punch = just whack throttle only lorrr
if u have set up idle up properly ... go to idle up mode and suddenly give it lots of pitch to make heli jump up
my idle up curve is straight line pitch
throttle curve is 100-97.5-95-97.5-100 for me

plus u got training gears ... very heavy .. heli cannot jump oso laaa

normal u check batt after flying .. and then adjust your flight time according to your battery ... mine is just 4:20mins and land i still get about 3.75v per cell
after u land then just touch your ESC and see lorr

Added on May 31, 2010, 10:32 amok guys, this is my attemp of flying in my house porch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbVb5iar0jQ

if you guys notice, my tail wags a bit though my gain is already at 17 and my tail drift to the right...

during 0:16 to 0:25 i hover it handfree just to show my tail wag and tail drift, coz during hover, i will play a lot with stick...

any way to correct this?

alah...when i fly also scared scared lah.. Actually nt that bad, u play sim raptor30 with 150physics...

if u can hover that well, u confirm plus chop can hover trex in ur living room already. Serious shit.

1. Hover tail in (done)
2. Hover right side in (done)
3. Hover left side in (in progress)
4. Hover nose in (coming soon)

Qiw, let me see if i correct regarding my idle up understanding.

Idle up is when the rotor will automatically spins so you can control the - and + pitch only. Certain percentage of of throttle power can be set throgh idle up throtle curve say 100, 95, 80, 95, 100. So when u invert ur heli, you put it on negative pitch without affecting the rotor rpm. Unless in normal mode when your negative pitch equals to slow rpm.

Am i right so far?
