Hi, a question to those who often go to the net. How far should we stay from the net actually? I find myself getting lobbed more often than not. I guess I must have been standing too close to the net then, no?

Depends how tall you are.
If you are Karlovic or Isner tall, you can stand 3 feet away from the net and a lob won't pass you unless its a moon volley.

Otherwise the standard position would be about 2-3 feet inside the service line.

wasn't really trying to emulate nadal, just that coincidently the ball came flying at such angle. Will rather miss that shot next time than risk my shoulder again..

cheh..inv bro..u cant fight wif me larr...i'm 2nd to none here...i play for New York Yankees at de age of 16 til now,19 yrs old...but recreationally play tennis... my home run is arguably one of de best in lyn tennis circle...can hit very high up..sometimes u can see 'BLINK" like a star shining..den if my opponent is unlucky,it'll stil land in de court..but sometimes i'm very 'soi'/unlucky,de ball wil fly across de fence onto de road..maybe even flew to carto's fav spot whr he likes to buang air kecil...n dere was once a hot blonde changing her clothes dere...at de 'dono wat tree'...haha...however,once in a blue moon,i can do my jaw-dropping signature move(which is de best shot tat i can hardly perform)..getting de tennis ball stuck in de throat of tennis racquet..leaving my opponents,partner n i myself wondering where de hell is de ball...OH!!!di sana nya..stuck in de throat...i believe anyone here de perform tis at ease..harder den producing an ace... tat's me..hehe...inv bro quote himself as a tiger wannabe,i'm a dinosaur wannabe... heheheh...

Yea twisting. i'm currently on a Flexpoint Rad MP (stock with no modifications unless u consider almost 4 layers of overgrip). Great for groundstrokes but a little too light on the head (to me at least).

those 4 layers are already a mod lah... each overgrip weighs around 7g, so effectively u r adding close to 30g (!!!) to the original specs of the racket.
if u find it too head light, u could try adding some lead tape to the head, or better still put the prestige cap grommets on it ala murray... i kid you not, its a very popular mod for the radical series.
