This is a good thread, I've wanted a direct comparison for ages. Hmmmm, but I guess owning all three is the best

The way I see it, the xbox has all the games that I've been interested in, not to say that the ps2 does not, it's just that the xbox has the majority for my personal preference.

So I guess it's basically up to what a person wants, the list of games are important It's what you're going to be playing. But I'll still say go with both, the xbox and the ps2 Hell, wait for the xbox 360 and the ps3
