there are few guides by our jerseyman, schmeichel7 in this forum on how to DIY namesets, you might want to use the search button to look into it, or alternatively you can go to real one or al-ikhsan and they charge around rm5-rm10 to print it for you.

Dude.. last time, when I didn't have the curve template.. what I did was I used my songkok's casing cap and used it as my template:

Some people laughed at me, one person made sarcastic remarks about this idea.. well.. what the heck. I'm ok with it.. No need to be ashamed about it.

What I did next was.. I went to al-ikhsan and grabbed their official chris kay rugby shaped template:

Then I got an A4 plain paper and used a pencil to duplicate the shape of the template by drawing it to the paper:

Then.. using the paper that I previously used to draw it.. I found my nike box and used it to make my own personal template. How? Here's the steps:

Then... I got some help from a friend of mine.. He asked me to scan the image of the template using my scanner:

Then I shared with him the photo and he helped me by doing a plastic version of the template (using the image I shared with him). A very good plastic cut:

Finally I have a plastic version of the rugby shaped template and also the half circle SportingID template as well:

Anyway I can share with you the image of the scanned template that I have.. you can print it out and then do exactly the same as what I did (as shown previously).. find a cardboard or box.. cut out the shape using the printed image as a guide..

Later, resize it so that it fits into one full A4 page (you can use Microsoft Paint to print it). Then use it as a guide to cut out your own template from a cardboard.

I found something interesting with the England home mexico 86 repro made by umbro for this year's batch.

This year's production batch is actually the second batch where the first batch was released in 2008. One of the key differences for this year's batch is that on the left sleeve, they've added 'Tailored by umbro', and most of the kits do not have numbers like the first batch (Mexico 86 had number 10, Italia 90 had number 19)

But what caught my eyes is the england home repro mexico 86. This is the one being sold at kitbag:

Now.. look at the stripes on the jersey. It's diagonal.. But the one that was actually worn in Mexico 86 is horizontal. Look at the kits worn by Glenn Hoddle and Peter Reid at the photos below:



The first batch had the correct stripes (horizontal). I've bought the home repro from the first batch and if you look at the jersey's shoulder, the stripes are horizontal:


So.. I guess.. the home Mexico 86 is not accurate. Damn umbro!

Found out that FC Barcelona will start to wear the Fifa CWC 2009 Champions patches. Unlike Man United (thanks to the stupidity of the EPL and FA) who wears the patches only during UCL matches.. I believe Barcelona will wear these patches even during La Liga matches (starting against Valencia soon)...

Seems like they use the same design like the one United used to have.
