The jersey is authentic. I've seen them at ebay.. The seller might got it from ebay and resold it

well, we are going with new home jersey next season so i do not think they will add in more stock to this season home jersey. which also explains the sale la i think

me myself actually am waiting for the away & 3rd jersey sales..hehehe
*
There will be a new home and away arsenal kit for next season.

The new home kit will mimic the 1970s arsenal umbro round neck collared jersey. To be straight forward, the new home kit will have white round neck and white sleeves and the design is similar to aston villa's current home and barcelona's current orange away. Blame nike for not being creative.

The away kit will definitely be yellow and navy.

They might re-use the navy or white kit as the third kit next season....

what do you guys think?

That is roughly how the new home kit will look like. But it will use the currect club crest and the FLY EMIRATES sponsors will be in the middle as usual

Jersey is authentic but it uses the wrong england nameset.

That jersey is the England Home World Cup 2006. The nameset used is for England Home 2007-2009 (failed to qualify for Euro 2008). What a pity.

Here's the jersey with the correct nameset:

Another jersey that the seller has that has wrong nameset:

Okey dokey...

Being a collector of England jerseys.. I've decided to buy the england away kit that will be worn during World Cup 2010....

Jerseyman's Review: 2010-2012 England Away Jersey

I just got one with ROONEY 10... I ordered size 48 since the previous home kit that I bought was 50 and was a bit baggy for me.... and here's the new away kit:

England Away 2010-2012 with ROONEY 10

This jersey was slightly a bit of a let down for me.. For a start.. it has 3 different materials used to build up the jersey:

user posted image

The front chest uses the same material that is used on England's Home 2010 kit. I like that material, kinda old skool type and feels soft like t-shirt (not in a bad way). But this is only on the front layer...The sleeves uses a different material.. elastic polyester like.. and the back layer uses a polyester material that has small airated ventilation holes...

This is how the back layer looks like:

user posted image

Not like the ventilation holes on some nike jerseys... More like bricklayered patterns..

Also bear in mind that this jersey is a bit tight fitting compared to the previous England Home... Although the away is 48 inches and home is 50 inches.. there is a huge difference of width when compared:

user posted image

And also... the sleeves are... a bit tight. Similar to England's 2006 away kit, the sleeves is a bit tight. Take a look of the sleeves for the England Away 2010 and England Home 2010:

user posted image
The sleeves of the England 2010 Away Jersey.. looks small and tight

user posted image
The sleeves of the England 2010 Home Jersey.. more roomy and bigger

user posted image
Sleeve comparisons between both England Home and Away 2010

user posted image
You can see for yourself.. how tight the sleeves are when I wore it..

I guess now we know why there are the cuffs at the sleeve's end. But why make the cuffs in white colour.. haihh...

To be continued...

Continued...

The washing tags is different compared to the England Home 2010. It's stitched directly to the jersey (unlike the home where it is tied to a spare button):

Overall.. to summarize up things.. here's jerseyman ratings about the jersey:

Design: 3 out of 5 (not happy with the white cuffs near the sleeves)
Material: 4 out of 5 (still think the England Home 2010 has the best material)
Cutting: 3 out of 5 (the tight sleeves disappoints me a bit)
Comfortness: 3 out of 5 (no thanks to the sleeves)
Overall: 3 out of 5

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh so long already,
ive been tracking my order on the ups website, and it says my package is currently in transit in PHILADELPHIA, america.
is it normal or is there something odd about the transit?
hmmm, cause transit to america actually takes longer time to arrive in malaysia i think,
*
That is odd and strange.. Why did it go to USA?

QUOTE(Envoy @ Mar 20 2010, 12:14 AM)
Is the England away jersey with ROONEY 10 available  at the local shops?

Not sure.. Better check with the regulars, I rarely drop by at local shops nowadays..

*
Yup, I think so..

This jersey is best suited for the slim people.. hehehe... For big guys like me.. it looks funny.. big sized at the chest and body part, but slim tight at the sleeves..

Performance enhancement element I guess..

the size is so much different between home and away? cause i got the home jersey,, size 40...  planning to go al iksan try it, if they selling it..
*
There was a huge difference because my home jersey was 50 and it was a bit baggy.. I opted to try for 48 (since I wear XXL and 48 is also XXL). I can still wear it though, just that it is a bit tight fitting..

So a precaution to others.. best is to TEST WEAR it first at stores locally before you order them.. Or else, take the risk...

Yeah, it is really odd.. By right.. normally the route taken is from UK -> Germany -> China -> Hong Kong -> Philippines -> Malaysia.

ucl NNs all PU?

my 2007/08 arsenal ucl NNs are not pu. they feel similar to lextra. not sure about other years
*
Arsenal's 07/08 UCL nameset is made by SportingID and is 100% lextra. It has the same EPL letters but different number. Arsenal have a contract with SportingID, hence the current UCL nameset used by Arsenal is also by them (but PU type). Even Fulham are also contracted with SportingID and has the same PU style nameset and same design.

nimrod, wait till u get ur hands on the Roma kit, or the kit against Milan that United use and apply NNS on it, then u know wink.gif

IINM the gold UCL font that Arsenal used in 0708 are also felt, not to mention those used by Liverpool and Man Utd in the early 2000s, the one that is same font with BPL NNS, but no Lion Logo on it...these are just a few examples of felt or Lextra NNS for UCL.
*
They are not only felt but 100% lextra Brendan.

Anyway when watching the EPL game (man utd vs liverpool) I notice that Torres's jersey has a missing EPL patch on his left sleeve in the second half..

but but watching the game, can tell whether lextra or PU meh?
i find it hard to tell actually.
any clues on what to look for?
*
Yes you can..

1. See how the numbers looks like in terms of solidness
2. See when the numbers fold
3. See if the nameset looks shiny or thin.

Sometimes you can tell... especially from experience.

Exactly.. I think the kitman should have opted for the black shorts with gold socks, or just use the white third kit with black shorts and white socks....

Mate.. When United play away at teams wearing white shorts (example, Everton, Birmingham City).. United can still wear the black shorts.

Yes, the socks should be gold because United wore black socks.

bro jerseyman, my new manutd carling cup patch become like that. how to rectify?
user posted image
*
No worries.

1. Spray some water to the exposed area of the patch
2. Terbalikkan your jersey
3. Put your sleeves inside the ironing board.
4. Set your iron to medium heat/2 dots
5. Iron press firmly for 6 seconds (press slightly) to the area where the patches are (make sure the jersey is terbalik already).
6. Terbalik back your jersey
7. Put a plain cloth covering the patch
8. Iron press again for 6 seconds (press slightly). Do not iron press direct on top of the patches or else you might burn it.

Good luck icon_rolleyes.gif
