No flaming please, I am a normal person like you. If you got a problem, please explain it here and I will try my best to resolve the issue(s) as soon as I can. One thing I want to emphasise very strongly:

We as retailers would never want to cheat our customers since obviously that is bad business practice. No point earning extra RM100 from that person but losing RM100,000 worth of business when complaints start flowing in.
We are human and humans make mistakes sometimes - but we will do all we can to resolve them.  flex.gif

Sounds good. So I'll give it a shot:
Downloaded price list from Hardwarezone yesterday, and was happy to see Samsung NB150 for RM 1099. Okay, the date of the list was 28/06/2010. So I armed myself with RM 1100, and went to the shop in Low Yat. 'No', I was told, 'the price is RM 1199'. I pointed to the list, but to no avail. Went home disappointed, back to the website, checked, and on the new price list of today, dated 16/07/2010; again, the netbook is mentioned as available for RM 1099.
Now I do feel cheated. Incidentally, that's a difference of RM 100. See your point as above. So it wasn't a mistake in one list published on Hardwarezone, but it is contagious. Look, I spent half a day driving to Low Yat; expenses and time, and then you guys don't sell for a price as advertised?
Of course, I wouldn't insist on an obvious typo. I wouldn't insist if it said RM 199. But RM 1099 is quite up to par, actually just a good price, a great offer.
Along to your logic as above, would, or could, I recommend to anyone to drive to Thundermatch for any good offer again? Not really. Not trustworthy. Price lists to attract customers, and then 'sorry-lah'. Actually, then I'd rather buy at shop XYZ for RM 1199, than at Thundermatch. Because I feel like rewarding their honesty; they market the NB150 for RM 1199. And they're willing to sell for what they state.

Kind regards,

Uwe

I would very much like to know which outlet you visited, and if possible, which salesperson you spoke to (or a description if possible).
I wouldn't know the salesperson, sorry. Low Yat, 3rd floor, the small one, besides the escalator, is where I 'started' my course, and argued about the price list. No chance.
Then I thought, he might simply not be in the know; and instead of starting a yelling session, I went to the 5th floor, and inquired with the person there, where a price of RM 1199 "no, not RM 1099" was confirmed to be by obviously another sales person. Only then did I give up and went home assuming, maybe, a typo. Until I checked the 'list of the day' and still found RM 1099.
I think that I had some reason at least to consider this a 'cheat', when I couldn't get the item to the price as advertised on the very day.

I am in the midst of communicating with the respective channels as we speak, however please allow a few days for us to get things straightened out. I will update here as and when I have a resolution.
thunder_kaminari,

it is one week now, I haven't heard any news, and the N150 is still RM 1099 on
http://www.hardwarezone.com.my/priceguide/...fid=49990&cat=2
according to hardware.com.my dated July 20th.

So, can you confirm that when I go to a(ny) Thunder Match outlet, I can buy for the sum of RM 1099 as you guys started to advertise on June 28th?

Uwe

We have investigated this matter and found it to be a matter of miscommunication. The promotion price of RM1099 for the Samsung N150 Netbook was indeed true for all Low Yat branches; however the salespersons were misinformed and did not check back with the management.

Please accept our heartfelt apologies over this matter.

Done. Accepted.

Should you still be interested in purchasing this model, we would be glad to offer it to you at the promotion price of RM1099. In addition, we will include a small gift as a token of appreciation (I don't have the specifics, but I'm sure it won't be a cheap pen laugh.gif).

Please contact the Low Yat 2nd Floor outlet at 012-7829589 (Mr SMR) so they can expect you.
With or without mystery gift; I sure still want the machine.
(Sure, still better *with*!)

I called, and now I'm waiting for someone to call back, so that we can agree on a convenient time for me to pick up both.

Thank you very much for your effort, in this and other cases, to keep the customer satisfied,

Uwe

I have been trying to call since Saturday, now is Tuesday evening. I also sent an SMS. No reply, nobody picks up the phone.
Maybe you have another number?
I really, really, don't want to go there and come home empty-handed yet another time.

Thanks,

Uwe
