First you need to understand how GPS works & the type of navigation system

Malfreemaps or even maslingmaps are free maps provided by the mapping communties freely and currently these maps only support certian navigations system. For Symbian as Soonlee said.Garmin MXT.

Nokia Ovimaps only free for selected Nokia based Symbian. Too bad Sony Symbian is not part of Nokia..so u can't get Ovimaps running on Vivaz.

today went to ask bout casing.. they say not yet out for vivaz

okie ^^ need to read up more on this phone. my dad persuade me to take ori cos he say better warranty and stuff, suppose to get the phone tonight but somehow salesman try booting up the phone with my sim card but cannot on...zzz told me need to use use diff firmware for my digi sim card wor...hard for me to believe lo but promise tomorrow can take phone zzz. make me cannot sleep nia tonight. anything i should check cos i feel something fishy a bit...

got such thing one o ? need different firmware for digi sim card? keke..
anyway ur getting ori set o ? for me when i buy phone i just check those camera.. call time.. see if any extra file in the phone.. speaker and if u buy ori.. make sure got the sticker lo..

could anyone send me vivaz firmware?
sony ericsson got "Update Services"
i try to use it as test bed to revive
but phone will disconnect while download firmware from internet

thus,i hope someone could/have/willing use the update services
let it download the file into C:program file/sony ericsson/update services/db
backup it just slightly before download finish
then pack and upload to for me to download

alrdy send to shop,but they have no idea what to do with it
coz they dont know those "highly advance" phone

Send back to the SE ctr-loh or the AP service CTr (Just hope the AP co fulfill their waranty.

BTW what u mean by brick the the phone?

i think his brick means bad flashing?...

anyway...the pre-loaded games and apps...after installed...i did try to use once...but after that..which means few days later...i try to find the shortcut...it was not anywhere found...anybody here know where the file is located?...i did try re-installing...but came out an "update error" thingy...

why so bad comment meh? i've using this phone for 3days now and it work fine. all functions work fine for me . i love this phone

Hmnn I thought I already list down the pro & the cons comparing wth Nokia 5800 much earlier??

The pro vivaz is not for me becos it makes the phone ticker just like those fugly N97 & etc..

Well here are the pros & Cons Again for those wanna honest review from the owner rather than those that have not owned it and just comment for the fun of commenting:

(Comparing with Nokia 5800)

Advantages

1) higher processor speed - 720Mhz probably the highest among all Symbian based phone (N97/X6/5800 all using 420Mhz) -Suprising thye speed higher than Satio (600Mhz0 - however actual usage u dun really feel the speed compare to 5800

2) Smallest, lightest & slimest of all Symbian based touch screen phones..Easy to carry & dun feel it inside the pocket.

3) Almost all softwares developed using S60 R5 platform can run on this phone except those required Nokia Ovi map loader & installation via direct website which Sony not one of the party -Skype!!)

4) 8.1MP camera - Very good in low & bright light but abit poor if use flashlight (which is a tiny LED). Superb HD video recording on 720p reso. Better than my Panasonic Tz15 digicam.

5) Touchscreen more responsive compare to 5800 & it's a hard glass compare to soft plastic screen on 5800 - looks cool too..


Disadvantages:

1) Very low int memory only 75MB nia compare to 5800 -125mb

2) Music player output not loud & lousier compare to 5800. need to install equalizer to bring out the sound! (via playon)

3) Back casing is gloss plastic & easily get sctraches - (I currently using an invi sheild) - nokia 5800 cover so nice wth rubber grip.

5) Similar to all S60 R5, having software bugs running Garmin MXT! haizzz..& the GPS track recording is not as accurate compare to 5800

I am asking from what i've read the comments from the link i posted about bad call in and out audio quality, is it true or not?
can hear other people what they say clearly? and can the other person hear what we say clearly?

OK- what same like Nokia 5800....Anyway, the music player on Vivaz sure lousier than 5800..That's what I think the comment about the music player..nothing wronmg wth the calls audio quality..Well..DIGI really bad for me same disconnection & drop calls both in Nokia & Vivaz

satio camera or vivaz camera?

Well...can't really tell unless there is any similar side by side comparison...You can compare the last 2 posts between Satio (Sonic CD) & Vivaz (me) here:

Anyway, Vivaz is having HD video which Satio dun hv. & Vivaz is running on 720Mhz compare to Satio at 600Mhz only. And Satio having Xenon flash for those really dark area. Vivaz having no xenon flash, thus, nite taking on close up wth the tiny LED will not help much..

the output sound from the speaker is cacat~but after puting on earphones...will the problem be solved? o_O
in terms of sound quality will it be same as other phones when using earphone?

Well, the cacat output sound will get better but not as good as 5800 after you download the equalizer software from Sony Playnow & choose Megabass.

The garmin link is on the 1st page. But you need to buy the software hor otherwise you install also they wil ask you for activation key haha

another stupid answer from a phone salesperson and you believe it....

go to another shop and buy from the other shop loh, original warranty all go back to SE mah.......
