Q&A
Q: Is there any region lock for online MultiPlayer?
A: No, MP is region free.

Q: Different region from R1, R2 etc can play together?
A: YES. No region lock.


Q: How to join MultiPlayer Online game?
A: Select Multiplayer. then select PLAY ONLINE. Select FIND GAME. Choose the type of game match and it will start searching for players.

Q: How to join MultiPlayer Online game with Clan/LYN players?
A: Add MW2 players PSN ID to your friendlist. To join in their multiplayer match online, select PLAY ONLINE and then select INVITE. Scroll thru your friendlists who are playing MW2 and select: Join Session to join their match.

Q: How to place clan tag in MW2?
A: When you're on Multiplayer, go to Callsign and Killstreak option. You'll will see Clan Tag. Place the clan tag name and you're good to go.

Q: NAT Type?
A: NAT Type below: (credit Rezuan78)
NAT Type 1 (Open): Connected directly to the Internet. [Modem -> PS3]
NAT Type 2 (Moderate): Connected to the Internet via a router.

Q: Any lag?
A: Our internet serveice provider that we use are uncapable of handling any overseas connection. You are lucky to even get 2 bars. Lag can effect your gameplay below i post the symtoms of lag. My opinion is to just leave the game. Its rather you quit game and save your time rather than teleporting around the map.

1. Long loading times. Sometime when loading you get stuck in waiting for other players.
2. Even if you clearly have shot the enemy, the game doesnt response (no extra 'X' crosshair)
3. Enemies will usually have a 1-2 second extra time to shoot you before you 'actually' attack
4. Predator missile can instantly hit the ground just after it is callled.
5. Time travelling. Yes the worst case. This is when you suddenly go back in time to a previous position in the map where you just walk pass. Sometime if your lucky you can also go forward in time to where you want to be and hit a wall.
6. My favorite, the second thoughts grenade. If your tossing a grenade or planting a claymore, your hand will be reluctant to throw it. This means your player is having second thoughts about throwing the grenade. You will be spammed by sounds of grenade pin pulling or claymore hitting the ground.

So if you have any of the problems. YOUR LAGGING. Dont complain cause this is what happens when there is only 1 internet service provider which i dont mention because their name is not worth mentioning. [credit darkplacid]

Tips and Tricks

A) XP Points [credit pakcikkantin]
Getting most XP in an MP game ,even if you have less kills , or more death:
1. Do challenges.
2. Headshot, if cannot, shoot enemies leg, and execute him
3. Stay alive ( You will get the "Longest Life" match bonus)
4. Unlock unknown weapons, like Shotgun. Why ? 10 kills of Weapon challenges, can give you extra 700XP.

B) Most XP Match gameplay[credit busbos]
The match type that give the most(i think) experience (XP Points) is no other than Demolition.

C) Team Deathmatch Killstreak [credit darkplacid]
If you die more then 5 times just cancel that killstreak. Have this instead: Predator Missile -> Harrier Strike ->Chopper Gunner

Predator Missile Aim for double kill to get Harrier then bring the rain on the baddies and hide try to get at least 3 kill with this. Try to get a kill or two urself. Then you will get chopper gunner then here come the fun part. If your playing with a team ask them to spread out in the map and force spawn them to a part of the map that is expose.

D) Perks [credit pakcikkantin]
PERK=KILLSTREAK require 1 less, use Launcher/AT, get multikillss.

Weapon
Primary: Scar (with silencer or RDS/Holo sight)
Secondary: ATS or RPG (Laucher category)

Equipement
Primary: Smetex or Frag granadaaaa
secondary: Stun (work better once it hit the enemy it will slow enemy's movement and aiming ability)

Perk1: Scavange (with or without pro also can)
Perk2: Danger Close (with or without pro also can)
Perk3: Stead Aim or Scrambler (steady aim is mostly for primary. but scrambler is affecting enemy around you)

ATS only got 1 shot and able to lock on aircraft. So scavange will help with the restock of grenade and rocket too.

Just tested out yesterday , the result was quite good.
A well aim shot can get double or triple kill in TDM or domination.

Guys i will release all camping spots in MW2 using pictures soon... I know i will kill myself by doing this but at least my info help people to get use to camping. BTW camping is a technique which requires patiance and a calm mind to asses what is happening in the map. Very good for playing objective matches.

Our first map. Afghan.


1. Hide behind the AA Gun and look towards to rocks to cover point C. Can also cover the other entrance to point C.
2. Find a hidden rock which is out a bit from the cliff. You can stand on that rock. Good for covering C. Is you have C4 or grenades, with practise can throw from that location without moving out. Can be seen by enemies coming from the catwalk.
3. Same as number 1.
4. Hide behind the broken wall and cover anybody coming from the pipeline canyon. Good to cover C.
5. An obvious sniper spot. Unless you are a quick draw shooter dun try to hang out there for too long. That spot has become the number 1 spot to look for enemy snipers. Can jump down to the mattresses below without taking any damage for shortcut.
6. Jump down from spot 5 and land on the cliff below. Bushes there can help hide you. Good for covering pipeline canyon.
7. A normal sniper spot when spawning to cover point B. Just watch your back.
8. A good spot to prone down and hide between the grass.
9. Good spot to cover point B from enemies coming from pipeline canyon.
10. Hide between the corner at the hut behind the bush.
11. This is kinda a secret spot for me, go to that corner and you will see a barrier and a car. You can climb over that barrier and camp there but don't go too far in if not the radiation will get you. A good spot to cover B but limited sight.
12. Another spot to cover B.
13. Same as number 12.
14. The bunker is a obvious camping spot.
15. Besides shooting out from the bunker, you can also hide between the beds and wait for anybody passing by.
16. The cockpit of the plane is good for shooting people in the bunker infront of it. You can climb up on the plane by using the rocks on the nose of the cockpit.
17. A good spot to cover point A, hide between the bushes.
18. Same as above.
19. A good spot to cover enemies coming from the cave, catwalk or the rocks.
20. A good place to hide but not to camp. Good for care package marker.
21. A sniping spots. Can cover the rocks, catwalk and have vision to certain spots at point C. Can see clearing to spot 1.
22. The gap between the cave is actually a good spot to hide from incoming fire from the plane direction. Good spot to clear the small bunker.
23. Hide behind the door.
24. There is a small gap between the rocks that you can hide.
25. Get to this spot by climbing up the wing of the plane. at the highest tip, look for 2 vents aiming up. Run-jump while spamming jump to lift up yourself to the vents. Good spots to cover nearly the entire half of the map.
26. This spot has a bush that you can hide in. Can be access either by jumping down from spots 25 or run-jump from the wing of the plane.
27. A good spot for first kills if you spawn from the pipeline canyon. Quickly jump on the wing and aim at the big bunker to catch any wannabe snipers.
28. Not really a good spot if you ask me but still good if using a laptop killstreak.

This is the first of many. I will only post this here so everybody can see incase they miss the first page. Others i will update my first pages post.

Sometime i feel because of slowmyx your skills for MW2 is better lo... We all use to play with lag and react faster than overseas people. Imagine no lag that time.. Sure better...

True that bro, true that. When i enter games with japs/aussies where i get 3 to full green bars, i just frag away like no ones business (in a noob sense of way, not like all u pros here ). Slowmyx really helps us sometime come to think abt it, credit to tmnut for the best training enviro for us malaysians..

camping i think not as easy as we think....it need a good concentration and telinga must tebal coz sure kena maki...

If you have M16 or Famas camping is very easy. Makes the game very boring. On Gamespot a lot of people complain that MW2 is a campfest.

I know one of my US frens, he just camp at 1 spot, using Cold Blooded, Ninja with Silencer, and he manage to kill 55 kills and 2 death.

Now u guys know why i hate campers so much.

I don't think camping is a sin in the game, everyone has different playing methods.
That's why they have sniper.

I have some information on the map names for the new upcoming map packs, there is going to be a playlist called Team Deathmatch - DLC with all the new maps in it, there will be six maps included with the names of :

Revolt
Complex
Storm
Abandoned
DCWH
Compact

Those are the internal names for the maps. I have no idea what the real name is yet.
Soon i will post gameplay of these maps before release, please post all of your other information on the new map packs coming out.
There are rumors going around that the new maps will be old maps from CoD 4 and CoD : WaW.
These are possible maps for the internal names, if you have any ideas post here and i will update the post for you.

Simple as this, this game is base on army, so there will be teamwork, campers are there to defend. Imagine in real life everybody rush out the base and leave it undefended. If you hate camping so much go play HALO or some other brainless rushing shooting game.

Why play the game when you cannot finish complaining bout it. I know this is a game and all but imagine in real life when you play, do you really want to rush out and DIE?? Its a strategy to stay put and wait for backup or intel on the enemies position. You cant accel in a game with just simply rushing people. Even winter has his strategy (I know it winter).

Camping get 55 kills? Hardcore boleh la... but with killcam must be playing against noobs.

I can see tht many ppl complain about those camper....
actually there's a way of dealing camper.....
eu guys dint see me complaining about tht don't eu....

be more sporting guys, camping is also a stratigic defending.
the more eu ply with those camper, it makes eu more situation awearness....
eu tent to be more carefull of where eu are going, instead of rushing.

knowing where ur teamate die is a disadvantage to those camper... trust me on tht...

Rusher
Location: Vary, always moving
Aiming: Hard cause move around
Return for revenge: Imposible cause the have move away

Camper
Location: Same spot the entire time unless killed
Aiming: Easy, not moving.
Return for revenge: Possible if he is still waiting at the same location.

So in my thesis i have made a conclusion that campers are easier to kill, by that whoever get piss off by campers are noobs who can only go back to the same spot and get killed without thinking of a clever way to kill a camper. I usually happy when meet a camper cause i know where to get my next kill LOL...

That's what I said... you got a kill camp except for hardcore so if you want to revenge go back and kill him la.

But most ppl complain this or that, don't like this weapon or that, just go and improve your skill la. Of course it looks cheesy with akimbo rangers killing you. So you don't like it, go and do it to the guy la. You equip akimbo ranger and try.

Otherwise concentrate on what you're good at and just be the best.

If you want to camp, pls try not to stay at the same sport for long, coz it easy for people to track you down. Try to shift around that place so whenever someone come to seek for revenge they usually will go the spot where they got killed by you. So, what I did is, when I kill someone, I will change to another place overlooking to my previous camping spot, so when I saw they coming to that spot, another free kill for me
