I just signed the CC slip a few minutes ago. Went to the shops looking for the best pricing for with Panasonic Plasma P42X28 (already confirmed in my heart already, just want to get the best price). Got talked into changing my mind to Toshiba AV700 cause it's Full HD. Went to another shop to compare the Toshiba pricing and ended up with Sony 40BX400!

Price, RM2,499 - RM200 cash back.
FOC Blueray player. If don't want, rebate another RM300.

Finally after much haggling, decided and confirmed taking the 40BX400 with the Blueray player (RM2,299) but managed to sqeeze a free wall mounting bracket from them. They gave me another S Video cable, which IMHO, is worthless to me.

I calculated that I'm only paying RM1,850 for the LCD TV itself. The P42X28 is RM1,680 so I'm actually paying extra RM170 to get a Full HD (doesn't really bother weather it's a plasma or LCD).

Nice thanks for sharing your experience. How did you calculate paying RM1850? RM2299 - RM200 rebate = RM2099? How much does the bracket cost if they don't give it FOC?

just got it today at harvey norman mid valley for dad. delivery tomorrow.

took advantage of the 15% cashback using AMEX so manage to shave off RM375 from the RM2499. Quite a good deal!

P42X28 for RM1,680 is damn cheap. Where is this shop located?

Wasn't someone/shop in Lowyat here selling this model for RM1,650/- .

Actually you can get at RM1,899 (without blueray player) with cash rebate RM200 and FOC one HDMI cable from Desa HT Kepong.

Please stop spreading this price as the other member does too cause the seller calculate RM1650 after deducting rebate and his free gift main problem is he have got one unit only and it's currently reserved so no point at all.

Why can't I mention when I saw some shop selling that price (RM1,650/-) 1-2 weeks ago in lowyat forum. This is not your grandfather's forum.

That's because the way you said it is proven that you wasn't sure if you can find me one with that price I'll buy it right away. I have no intention to be rude no hard feelings and watch out or your words.

have u try the blueray player? mine can't open bd but dvd no problem... it state file invalid! anybody got experience like this? otherwise I've got to go to dealer back.

The Desa Kepong shop's offer is really good but like I said, I'm from Seremban....

I actually opted to take the blueray instead cause they are only prepared to offer me RM300 for it. They'll probably sell it off at RM999 and I don't want them to "earn" the extra from me. 

bought this sony model last week for rm21xx, after minus bd player (minus rm300), minus rm200 cash rebate, and adding extra 3 yrs warranty add rm1xx... noob in lcd tv hehe... this model so so lar, cant expect much...
