get a budget blu ray player like the philips bdp 3000 / 3008 ...around RM600+ only...can do BR, dvd upscale and avi...better this than any upscaling dvd player

u got PS3...then no need a blu ray player lah....that is a blu ray player and an upscale dvd player...check with the guys here if u need to upgrade the firmware of your PS3...
but be careful...once you go HD...there's no turning back |

oh...if 32" just stick to any cheap dvd upscaler...cap ayam ones can also do upscale too i guess...even with HDMI!
But quality not sure lah... if ur going 40" above...then HD is the way to go... :> |
