like king kenny, pep got a solid team with alot of gifted players when he take over. he indeed however managed to get the best out of them. not that i'm giving him (or king kenny) any credit but given him a team of under performer like current liverpool squad i'm sure he'd struggle too.

Masch desperately tries inaccurate long passes throughout the night, and gerrard isn't as combative as we know he could be. Kuyt was barely useful when deployed as striker, only when ngog was brought in he started to show some decent sparks. Maxi showed glimpses of intelligence, although seemingly ordinary at most times. Riera lost possession too easily and too often, despite the fact that he looked to be the calmest and most dangerous attacking prospect on the pitch.

I am tired of lucas, regardless of how the supporters defend him. For all the tireless running, he is not winning the ball and can't make 2 successive passes. His first touches are poor, he can't dribble, isn't winning headers, and he breaks down attacks, ours that is. He looked like he's involved heavily in the game, but the truth is he's playing so near the ball most of the time and see a lot of action, but he isn't doing anything useful except harassing the opponents. I've lost count of the number of times he got in the way of a team mate, and how his control gave the ball straight to the opponent, and whenever he wins a header the ball drops straight to a wolves player.

We make wolves look good, and that's not a good sign. We've been playing like crap far too long and the only reason why we win games during this duration is because our opponents have an offday.
