QUOTE(REDShaun @ Feb 12 2010, 02:58 PM)
is it just me or am i the only one to noticed that it's not suppose to be an insua mistake that Rosicky passed the ball to Diaby but also the fact that Degen just stood there without so much as a block to run with Diaby to disrupt the header?

Insua worked his ass off for the game but Degen somehow fails at many areas. It's unfortunate that we lost, I watch the game and it seems that Degen seems to be prone to the rookie mistakes that should not have been as a player not fresh out of the academy.

All he needed to do was to stop Diaby, he was just 2-3 yards away from him and hhe just stood there waiting to see if the cross was successful, that to me for a right back is just plain simple stupidity.

he suck at defending.. but we dont have any other choice since carragher got injured.. he was the only available right back..
but i'd still prefer Darby, i heard his good in defending.. while degen is much more of a wingback (see how fast he got upfront)

I think we might get more goals if we play Agger up front, and leave Ngog in the bench. Or maybe just the team bus.

agree on that.. agger got such deadly longshots.. given the space.. he'll score more goals then gerrard imo haha..

QUOTE(normeck @ Feb 14 2010, 08:04 AM)
Benayoun returns to training

Rafael Benitez has revealed that Yossi Benayoun has return to first-team training with Liverpool after his broken rib.

Benayoun has not featured since the FA Cup defeat to Reading on January 13 and was ruled out for around a month, suggesting his comeback is not far behind schedule.

"Yossi was training with the team," Benitez told the club's official website. "Still we have to be careful with his rib but he was training."

Benayoun is not expected to feature in Thursday's Europa League tie at home to Unirea Urziceni but could be in the squad for their crucial Premier League match at Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Benitez hopes 19-year-old former Barcelona attacker Dani Pacheco can establish himself in the first-team in the near future.

"Dani is continuing to train with the first team," he said. "When we let (Andriy) Voronin go (to Dynamo Moscow), we immediately brought Dani into the group and every day you can see that he is progressing. His training is good.

"Every day you are thinking about when you can play, he has been on the bench a lot and sometimes you are thinking when it might be right to put him on, but you also have to think about senior players and giving time to others who need it.

"The one thing we know, though, is Dani is a player with quality. He has game intelligence and we know that he can make a difference. He is still very young but we are pleased with him and he is doing well."

He added: "Dani has no problems when he is in possession. He is clever and he always wants to try difficult things but that shows the quality that he has.

"The fact he is training with us shows what we think of him. He is with us all the time and that means he can play at any time. It depends on the game but, clearly, if he continues to keep working as he has been doing, he will definitely get his chance."

QUOTE(hantu77 @ Feb 19 2010, 07:42 PM)
ngog can do a target man role like drogba or adebayor if he beefs up and get physical. he already has the height and decent pace.

ngog can be a backup or support for torres but no chance in hell in replacing him. Ngog has potential to be a good player like owen, defoe, berbatov, bellamy but torres is on another level. A level known as world class such as strikers like: villa, eto'o, rooney, drogba

i totally agree with that.. his a good target role.. but his finishing is still pretty amateur.. skills aare amateur too.. but he can improve..

dani is from barcelona fc youth program.. no wonder his good biggrin.gif

fyi.. owen is a world class striker.. remember his pace =.=" .. he used to run like a suicide bomber towards the oppositions goal keeper..

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Feb 27 2010, 11:28 AM)
A certain El-Hadji Diouf has started to run his mouth of again suggesting that it's easy to get a result against Liverpool these days. What irks me isn't so much that there isn't fact in that statement, because it's true but for a former Red to to run his mouth of against us in the manner that he did, further reinforces my belief that he isn't a Red and he never was. Gerard Houllier had expressed deep interest in him before the 2002 World Cup had begun and I took interest in Senegal's games because of that. For a guy dubbed "the Serial Killer", he came with a huge reputation but what I saw in the 2002 World Cup wasn't so much a deadly finisher as he was a diving cheat. Never liked him and never will. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Looking forward to seeing him dig his face in the dirt tomorrow.

his one of the most hated players in premier league lol.. unlike drogba and ronaldo, at least they have awesome skill and finishing biggrin.gif

QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 28 2010, 12:08 AM)
My view, I already conceeding that Liverpool won't able to finish 4th, worst still may be 7th and totally missed out Europe place.

The only way to enroute back to Europe is through winning Europa cup, from backdoor again like last time out.

But I do not feel optimistic about it.
