Malaysia football league has been sliding since Singapore left Malaysia League and started their own league. Say whatever you want about Singapore football, they was lower ranked than us 10 years ago, but they are ranked higher than us. Malaysia is slowly slipping while Singapore is slowly climbing.

And look at Singapore league. They even have a Japanese club playing in their league.

Their local players can gain experience from playing the Japanese, but Malaysia even kicked out imported players. How to improve when you don't compete with better players? I suggest Malaysia do the same, invite Japanese, Korean or Chinese (as in from China) teams to play in our league.

QUOTE
PETALING JAYA: The FA of Malaysia (FAM) have shot themselves in the foot for leaving the Harimau Muda senior team (Under-21) stranded this season.

The FAM withdrew Mohd Azraai Khor’s boys from participation in the Super League at the last minute with the hope to get the team to play in a foreign league.

But their hopes went up in smoke on Monday when the FA of Singapore (FAS) announced their decision not to accept the Malaysian team in their 12-team S-League, which kicks off next month.

They opted for three foreign teams, retaining Japanese side Albirex Niigata and including newcomers Beijing Guo’an and France-based Etoile.

Singapore League gets more interesting. Malaysia?
