how about malaysian mentality on football as a career??? parents wont allow their children to become footballer, playing football doesn't put food on the table.
I disagree with this. A friend of mine handles the insurance coverage for some of the players from the team that won the SEA games. They earn 5 figure incomes. Not enough money? More like lack of meritocracy in selection. That and politics.

the government need to put more fund, or just privatize it, or legalize sports betting, cuz that how the club earn big money from. look at singapore and their football league, they are doing very good, some players are payed 30k S$ a month. in Singapore they take their football seriously, we dont..
Once again I have to disagree. More and more money has been poured in over the years. The league has turned Pro since the days I watched it when it was Semi-Pro and the standard has steadily declined. The more money that's pumped in, the more we fill the pockets of these fat greedy politicians. In fact, we should reduce funding to rid the game of these greedy gits. The FAM need to go through and overhaul. Rest assured, there is no quick fix here.
