NGK resistant type is not wrong.. So the spark plug have word "R" on it.. So far NGK doing well & its very trust able brand... So don't want to take any risk trying other brand.
*
stupid question, our waja using 4 spark plugs right? how much did you bought yours?
I just realised I've driven like 5000km in less than 2 months! insanse!

205/45R17, still having some tough time figuring out the tyre pressure, some say this, some say that, totally confused!

Hmm correct size for your speedometer accuracy. U know y? Cos I found out that real tyre size for our speedometer accuracy is 195/60/r15. Stock tyre at 195/55/r15 our speedometer reading 6-8kph faster than actual speed. So for upgrading rim de here is the guide.

Size according to speedometer accuracy:

Stock size    195 /60 R15
Up 1 size          205 /55 R16
Up 2 sizes          205 /45 R17
Up 3 sizes          205 /40 R18

This guide only set to nearest accuracy for speedometer reading.. biggrin.gif Still got 1%-2% different.. Enjoy biggrin.gif
*
Yeah, i found out that after changing this size, my speedo matches the speed on my gps, previously it will be around 5kph slower on speedo on my 195/60R15, opposite on what you said...maybe gps speedo also not accurate

QUOTE(yngwie @ Mar 9 2010, 10:53 AM)
nah, you can always pump it to suit your own driving style / environment. just don't pump under 31 psi because it will increase the rolling resistance and caused an uneven tire wear / increased fc.
you can set it at 34 psi front and 32 psi rear then.  thumbup.gif
but make sure you pump 'em during cold tire temp.
*
yeah, that is the psi that recommended by the boss, guess i will stick on that, or just pay RM3 to the boss and ask them pump nitrogen in it thumbup.gif

since you bught your tires from the shop, nitrogen should be foc.
good thing with nitrogen is you don't have to check the tires pressure very often brows.gif
*
suppose to be FOC, but he said his nitrogen is pure nitrogen, not those recycle one, he only gave me first time free, 2nd time need to pay RM3

performance wise, quit ok...
*
how much you got it?
seriously guys, i'm wondering how does our 4g18 improve its performance, at least par with say, civic 1.8 or altis 1.8? too ambitious?

paid 100 bucks upfront during auto show. paid the rest during installation.
cost less than 250 bucks if am not mistaken. that time they just making inroads into the market. hence their price is higher.
there is no way stock 4g18p can catch up with a stock 1.8 altis or civic on pick up but i've tested my waja auto 4g18p. good enough for 200km/h. feel quite stable at 180km/h.
light modded with everco exhaust but using gsr twintip, k&n drop-in and some modification on gearbox.

good noise insulation and good set of tires + good suspension + some guts will cover the car weakness tongue.gif

perhaps, you need to bot. speedworks has 'em under 10k  brows.gif
then again, i'd rather swap to more powerful engine at that price  tongue.gif
*
you're on manual right? 10k, i rather top up a little more to get a gsc engine with turbo, haha!
whats a gsc twintop btw?

morning...so feel like increasing my 4g18 performance after having such a large wheel, it eats up my torque and top speed, the other day i try to hit 170 on kesas, took me decades to reach there

Lolz.. haha... Your gain handling sure lose torque lo... Still ok for my ride new shoe, torque slightly lower than stock shoe. No chance to try top speed yet biggrin.gif I still had cat con in my car, dunno when will remove it.. tongue.gif
*
handling was definitely suprb on wide UHP tyres!! dont have that tipping-over feel anymore when cornering or changing lane at high speed. but i still love the top speed where i will be able to stick on others butt. still looking for ways to improve my HP.
sam, remove cat con! save fuel for sure, but for throttle and torque, i dont really feel much. tested 0-100, 14sec, not much different. have you guys ever test your 0-100? hmm.gif

RM300 lo... all the BP haven call the seller ar? I install my self de... If wan i can help on installation without air bag version.. faster call the steering seller lo.. later need to wait for stock & no more BP price..
*
already call him, he say still no stock. i might need your help on installation, will belanja you yum cha biggrin.gif

QUOTE(yngwie @ Mar 13 2010, 01:51 PM)
dohc usually tuned for efficiency and performance since it's easier to play around with an extra(dual) camshaft in dohc over the sohc(single).
but it wasn't as simple!
besides the changed compression ratio, thus affect the ecu thingy, wiring harness / exhaust / intake manifold and a few other things need to be taken care of as well.
the sohc 4g18p is already providing an acceptable amount of torque at very low rpm.
from my experience, the simplest of dohc conversion is more beneficial at higher rpm!
*
so, sohc is better on low rpm and dohc is better on high rpm? does that mean dohc isn't better on low rpm? not really a mechanical guy here, paiseh
they said its better to change an improved cams rather than spending on DOHC

14sec is definitely slow... but not too slow  tongue.gif
if am not mistaken, manufacturer claim also below that figure.
perhaps, slow due to the heavier wheels  hmm.gif
*
guess i need to go clean my throttle body, p&p cylinder head and then come back test again
is that what best i can do for now?
