[GUIDE] Why won't my OS update?, I've deleted the vendor.xml file!

Hi..need assistance here..I also can't seem to upgrade my my device software from 4.6 to 5.0..When I entered Control Panel, clicked Change/Remove..I do not have the modify button..I only have either repair/remove..
How should I proceed? I am using Windows XP |

yo dickson my man...i tried to download map app for blackberry in blackberry software site, it gave me the link copy to download in my email address but i cant click in using my blackberry browser .....the link seems not suitable for mobile browser so i tried frm my lappy it can be click but instruct me to click the link from my blackberry only ???? how to fix this??

Restart your BlackBerry then try again... But you need to enable your GPS before downloading... Or you can connect to Desktop Manager and login to BlackBerry Apps World to download it... |

it seems not just me having this problem lol, many others lost their map application during upgrading their firmware....
 , it can be downloaded from rim website but after installing it the map icon not showing up anywhere lol why this is happening ya? mind some sifu to show some solutions  |

Mine seems working fine without problem.. Maybe you can try uninstall and re-install again...

its seems i need to install it using the bb device manager lol, after i downloaded the map application to my bold..too bad rim website does not show or tell properly how to install this application, we have to configure it our self lol

Yes not through OTA.. You need a proper Desktop Manager to add on this features...

I always recommend my forumer to install BlackBerry Maps using Desktop Manager... Just plugin and connect to Application you can tick and un-tick for apps you want and unnecessary for your BlackBerry including BlackBerry Maps. That is the easiest way...

Hi, on Pearl 8100 (T-Mobile) set, no Chinese input. Now if want to Chinese input, I need to get some local firmware? I downloaded the Maxis variant from blackberry.com
Is it follow the first page guide? I am scare of after update, it get locked. Will it be locked? Thank you. |
