Yup agree. Avatar is an event movie, and as deserving its reputation as such, can only be properly savored on the big screen, 2D or 3D irregardless.

To the rest who had not watched, it is not about being with the "in" crowd, or like "sheeps falling prey to the popular culture", it's more of being part of history. Other movies wont be remembered as much as Avatar itself.

when i asked my wife to come and watch she said.."ala buat apa tgk binatang biru2 tu..." (coz she is not a sci fi fan)

but after that,

Salute! The message is universal, irregardless of the scifi nature of the movie.

watch twice too, both 3D. But still can't get the grip with our annoying 3D glasses, always jatuh2. isk.

Avatar's story is just very predictable. But as String says it. Its not the story that makes it appealing. Its the graphics.

after a while...most stories will be similar to others. It's how u tell it that is important.
