I miss ZOIDS so much... Should have bought the Mugen Liger when I went down to KL last time, now regret ady coz can't find anywhere else
Anyway, here's my tiny collection. I think I still have a Geno Breaker stashed somewhere in its box, and the box is stashed somewhere along with my GUNDAMS ![]() Maybe I'll get a few Kotobukiya HMMs when I graduate hehe... This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Jun 28 2010, 06:29 PM |

More pics of the Yamato Shield Liger. Stilll don't know the amount of die-cast parts, but imho the details are really lacking as compared to HMM's.
![]() ![]() "Has linked movement for parts on the head when the shield is expanded. 260mm in length. Made of ABS, ATBC-PVC (Acetyl tributyl citrate-polyvinyl chloride - a kind of soft PVC) and zinc alloy. Winter release, price TBA." Source: NgeeKhiong |

@Dreamworks:
Hope you're enjoying the Zoids nostalgia. I do have to agree that Mugen is a nice, little Zoids. Sound, lights and movement. Mmmmm. Hope you get to find one soon. I've been reading on ZP that Korea's Academy is rereleasing some motorised Zoids again. I just hope its a real manufacturing run of the molds and not just a repackaging of old stocks. @zoidbliss: The Yamato Liger looks very "play-friendly", but skinny. I hope it's just the pictures that make it look like it's got a big head. RM300 each, was it? |

I doubt I will be able to find another Mugen Liger in Malaysia, motorized Zoids are like extinct ady... And I'm living in Penang, worst still if wanna hunt for these guys @zoidbliss For some unknown reason, the Shield Liger looks really cute without its legs |

Hey folks,
Been lurking and reading over the past few days. Between this and the ver. 3 thread it was a crazy amount of posts but just to say thanks for all the info, pictures and links. Use to play with these things as a kid, then rediscovered them in my teens, and again in my 20's - one hmm command wolf winging it's way towards my front door as I type. (hopefully!) Unfortunately there's not a snowballs chance in hell to find these things in UK shops now. Oh by the way Edmaestro, you posted a pic of a Mighty Zoidzilla a few pages back. I don't know if this will add to it's history or not but the shop which originally sold it, Woolworths, was a big highstreet name in the UK until it went out of business last year. It started trading in the Uk about 100 years back and was one of the first big casualties of the recession here so you have two pieces of history there. Frenchie |

Welcome to our little Zoids haven, Frenchie.
HMM Command Wolf? Would it be the Empire version that you're getting? I totally miss Zoids in the shops as well. I am biased towards the motorised toys, though. Especially those old European ones with the clear motor box. Meshing gears; noisy, clomping clunkers - ah, nostalgia. Ultrasaurus, Giant Zrk, Mammoth. I guess it will be a long, long time before these get the HMM treatment. |

Actually no...it's the first hmm command wolf variant they did. Didn't want to blow much cash until I'd seen how nice these newer models were. Managed to get it at £25 posted to the uk which seemed a damn good price compared to a lot of online prices for some of the models!
Am actually just about to start a trip over to Vietnam and Hong Kong....I may have to go on a toy shop hunt, see what I can stow away on the return journey. Frenchie |
