the charging & discharging current will drop if u put the capacitor too far away

same goes with the huge 1 farad capacitor for amp why is it placed very close to the amp

IMO Eric already took great pains to insulate the box with foam insulation. If you want to improve it, maybe you can try to wrap the thing in exhaust tape or a reflective material like aluminum foil? Been thinking of doing that once I get the time smile.gif

Alternatively if you want to drag the cables into the car you can, but you'd need very thick cables at least 2 or 4 AWG fully copper and shielded, and best to start from inside the VS itself. But if you look around, most VS are designed to be placed in the engine bay itself, like the famous Pivot, Guang Dao, Sun Auto etc.

Hey bro,

The higher the uF the better it goes? will it melt the casing or not.. since is storing current?

Can it fix inside the car since the engine bay there is bloody hot =/...
*
The higher UF or not is done by increasing number of capacitors or capacitor types in parallel. Heat generated by capacitors is very low and will not increase over time to blow it off.

I have a customer that i customized a cigarette connector for him so that it can be put inside the car, but the performance should be decrease because the cable using on cigarette is thinner and high resistance.

Another way is to punch hole via your car firewall to your car, but this require longer power cable and would cost a little more. (You can place this order if you want, please PM me then). smile.gif

yeah, car with NGV installed still using battery to operate, so VS is still applicable to your car.

Yeah, the insulator took me long time to cut and stick on, but that works well because after taking out from hot car and i peel off the insulator immediately and find those caps are still in cold temperature rclxm9.gif

izso , I have left my car stationary for 8 days and it doesn't drain out my battery like you mentioned. Buyers shouldn't be worry about it though.

Eric , is it easy to dismantle the VS and solder in a blue led like boy.jaytech instead ? mine one is pretty dim though.

The LED just drain a very little of power, not to worry.

The LED is just an indicator, doesn't have much usefulness if you put a brighter one but instead it eat up more of your car's power.

If you want, i can do it for you but the heat insulator have to be changed a new 1 coz i'll tear it off to open up the casing. Let's discuss in PM how we gonna do it.

Hi, i don't sell grounding cable but you can get from accessory shop, i would recommend you to get HKS blue or purple color 1.

The whole unit is water proof, normal water drop won't affect it, but don't go soak in water or spray water directly on it tongue.gif
