When your new battery is producing 12V full, then the LED is pretty bright. After few years if your battery wear off and producing only about 9-10V, then the LED will dimmer than what you have on new battery

This is not a good way to measure healthy of battery but if you're sensitive enough you'll notice it. Use a voltmeter to measure is always the best and accurate choice.

Haha this is a good question, refer to some of my customer's feedback and you will find the answer there. No offend, no forcing to buy, choose something works for your car your self, cheers.

Promise to give Eric a review on his VS. There are couple of things that improve my ride after using Eric vs.

1. one crank able to start the car
2. no rough idling
3. changing gear become even more smooth
4. engine become more quiet while cruising 80km/h
5. vtec feel more kick while engage
6. aircond more cool than usual. Turn my aircond to max, u wont feel the air cond compressor drawing all the power from the alternator. Mean no sudden rpm drop.

Well, i am driving honda prelude 92-96. Almost a 20 years old car. So this vs really help a lot and out perform my other vs which made in japan and had been using it for 7 years. So any1 of u who still have any doubt on Eric vs, i personally guarantee u that his vs really work. The bad part is my car lack of space, else i will get another unit from Eric smile.gif

Bro, thanks for your review, and good to hear that you're one of my happy customer like others do.

If you would like to get 1 more unit, i can customize the cable longer so that you can find a place somewhere further from battery to install the VS.

As far as i know, making the cable longer may effect the charging and discharge effect. Seriously my engine bay no space:) I will send u my engine bay pic tonight after work, see can fit another vs or not:)

maintenance. Just my 30sen worth!

YES exactly, actually i'm not meaning pulling the cable from bonnet to boot that long hehe, that definitely will impact performance. But indeed i think there should have some spaces at ur engine bay firewall where another half meter cable is enough to serve the purpose and will not drag down performance a lot because the cable i'm using is pure 8G cable, not like other red cable which is 8G but u see properly indeed the thickness is contributed by the insulator while leaving a pretty thin real conductor wires inside.

Ya, this is exactly what i'm advising my customers to do, putting a voltmeter on the VS unit itself is useless. Look for a person at automotive garage who is selling the Voltmeter at that price.

i'm using another brand of VS with grounding..

now, the VS seem little bit useless.. when winding up or down of my power window, i can see lotsa power suck from the battery (my led odo meter dim a bit + front lamp also dim a bit)..

is that mean its time to replace the VS (mine is the blue box - dunno what UF it is)..

how much latest price + where to cod?

yup alternator grounding is great companion with my vs, u know what grounding cable will maintain ur alternator voltage at max level n doesn't go lower when engine gets hot, while vs flatten out sudden voltage drop during high demand
