Need to check out from Maxis about the payment methods as well.
Anyone know if Maybank Debit Card is accepted?

Everyone's been discussing about the prices since months ago but when it comes out it doesn't differ much from the 3GS. LOL
Shall check it out from Maxis tomorrow.

Yea I wish and suggest Maxis to do so.. This way it wont be so mess up or maybe reducing chaos:)

Meaning those who plan to go and get the iPhone 4 like US won't be able to get it, as we aren't invited?

I think the chances will be less because US sell the iphone 4 at Apple Retail Store, so the US ppl line up outside the retail store.

Line up(or camp) at the front door of The Garden...? doesn't make sense.... so the chances of maxis use the way will be same like the sintel does whistling.gif
*
So if there's no pre-order, we can only start getting it on Friday morning?
If we can't get it on the 23rd midnight, we might as well don't go.
But still, you never know if you get to have a chance to purchase one biggrin.gif

Maxis can't do this to us users (If so). This is so unreasonable.
And why aren't the existing postpaid users prioritized?
It should be opened on a first come first serve basis during the launch.
For those who can't get the iPhone 4 that night could visit the store on the next day. Fair enough.

for those who are confused about this booking/buying/midnight launch thing:

do check out this link on the days leading to the launch in singapore:

Countdown to Singapore iPhone 4 Launch

if malaysia is similar, this can gives a good idea what will happen in coming days.

hope this helps.
*
The clock is ticking down towards 30 July when the iPhone 4 is launched in Singapore. Telcos have released information indicating a midnight launch (again) on 30 July, where customers who pre-ordered (to be announced soon) can collect. Like previous launch of the iPhone, walk-in customers will not be entertain during the midnight launch.

Thank you so much! It really helps.

if there is no pre-order, unless they have plenty of stock during the launching, else i can imagine Maxis sure will get lots of complains from those that queued for hours but couldn't get the iPhone...
*
Every telco gets complaints,
Just like Taiwan has 200,000 pre-orders but the telcos only have 45,000-60,000 iPhones,
According to the link a forumer posted just now.

If you're not sure about this. do not post it up.

One sentence saying that it'll be out at 2.47am will cause everyone to wait till midnight.

Please, not again.

The prices are generally cheaper compared to the 3GS launch.
Both iValue 1 and iValue 2 are nice.

how nice u mean???

from the screenshot only see the price of phone only...

not yet the charges of the call, sms and internet

is it the same as before?

but there write NEW ivalue plan...

phone cheaper than 3gs will the plan more expensive????
*
Well, I'm taking econometrics this semester.
So its very natural to assume that the price of the phone is cheaper compared to the 3GS launch,
Holding all other variables constant.

I think I'll pass this subject. biggrin.gif

If you've been making a lot of calls (postpaid) for the past 10 years.
You're are most likely to be invited.

Cheers.

iValue 1 24 months is just nice for me, I calculated and compared with iValue 2, iData 2 and RRP, they are all slightly more expensive and are more than what I usually use. Was previously on iValue 2 12 months and I regretted!

Btw, Maxis mentioned that customers on a 24 months contracts could extend the warranty to 24 months? So is warranty of iPhone 4 2 years if you get the 24 months plan?

Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Ive confirmed booking for this Friday, 6pm-10pm.

I cant go earlier/ later because of work tongue.gif

I think the rate plans are great. Similar to, if not slightly better than when the 3GS was launched.

This time i am getting the iValue 2 Plan.

Last time, i got the iData Plan 2 which was RM50 + RM150 (my monthly commitment). This was a bad choice because i only got 500mb of data and a 1 year contract was RM1990.
*
Mine's different.
I was on iValue 2 last year and I regretted as I couldn't even reach 1GB. LOL
Now its great because they increased the data from 500MB to 1GB for iValue 1. YIPPE!

The casualties of the "supposed insider info" posts that falls flat on their faces, some with enthusiastic confidence even. I've posted before that these posts I've seen are "ripe for the pickings", and the fruits of those speculations and overconfidence are showing now. I don't have to mention another "finger food made from sliced potatoes fried in France" and how he "crashed and burned".

The others took a "safer" route by not divulging any supposed statistical data (numbers, dates, pricetags, etc) and word his "prediction" loosely, like rynstar. He's lucky he took that route, otherwise his posts would have joined these "casualties". wink.gif

Free advice. Back up your info with sources, not word of mouth. Makes for something to fall back to in case things turn for the worse. Where are these brazen predictors I wonder? Slunk into the shadow whence they came from? nod.gif

HAHA your post hurts them. LOL
By the way, are you attending the midnight launch event?

I may come. If I do, I'll PM you. I can bring my MiFi and you can try out FaceTime on your brand new iPhone 4. biggrin.gif

In fact, if any of the current iPhone 4 owners are interested, we can do a mini gathering to welcome our new brothers and sisters into the iPhone 4 family, and test out its features. I'll see what the others are thinking , and if this is agreeable with them. nod.gif
*
Am a little worried that the WiFi over there might not be stable enough to initiate a FaceTime chat? HAHA
Actually I wanted to try iMovie more than FaceTime. WOOTS
