It's no speculation.  I'm quite sure @stringfellow's information is as accurate as can be. If you've been following AppleBytes since the first launch U'll know his sources are usually v accurate.

Maxis just update their carrier setting haha. Does it mean maxis is ready for iPhone 4?

I am going to Maxis TTDI on 26th Sept to get my set. Hooray! My friend, who cannot make it, is asking my favour to get him a set as well (with iValue Plan 1).

My question is,

1) Can I help my friend to sign up a package, without his presence?

2) If yes, what are the documentation thing I need to bring along?

From the Maxis webpage, all iPhone purchases are accompanied with tying it with an iValue or iData plan, with no mention of prepaid options.
Yes, that is correct.

I don't think you can finish 1GB data that easily. My highest monthly usage is about 170mb with no wifi.. with house wifi I only manage to read 70mb =.=

Anyone can explain this to me? If let say, someone bought the Maxis iPhone 4 & re-sell it at market..Then the phone will lock?

I want to get the iphone4 soonest possible but I did not get the pre-booking page.

I called up Customer service and they said its only Maxis to Maxis tho
Same as above. Everything free is only between maxis to maxis.

After that, the rate according to plan will be charged for all telco incl maxis to maxis

I called up Maxis Customer Service 4 times to ask about their rates for IPHONE 4. This is my first time going thru their plans and I am only trying to be helpful. If i am wrong in the end, it is cause i relied on Maxis Customer Service. I am sorry if i ain't as informative as you.

No.. I don't believe Maxis will help u copy the old contacts to ur new SIM card.. in that past, there was no need for a new SIM; am not sure what they gonna do this time round.

Yes.. U can - so as long as ur existing VP150 plan is not bounded by any contracts.
