i'm using 42RV500E.
so far so good. RM3.1k only when i bought it last year. it's kinda bargain for full HD & 42'.
but i don't have any idea to tune the PQ for astro & gaming...

without the calibration disc or tool, the only way is to adjust it according to your liking. If you know the function of each feature in your tv, this might help to tune your own setting. Another alternative is to pay someone to calibrate your set rolleyes.gif

THis thread should be renamed to just Toshiba users thread...

off topic: How do I see how long my 32CV500E have been operating?

Not sure it will be the same step as ZV but you could try it at pg 18 (post #342)

its either 3444/60 (as in mins) = 57hrs
or its just 3444 hrs

which is which depends how long you use the TV already

lets say an average of 16hrs per day usage
that would comes up to 200+ days or a 6-7 months since you started using the TV set

my bet is on the time value being the hours

eh...doesn't look like the tv usage time for me hmm.gif . You may try to check again tonite to see whether this number increases after you have watched the tv today at least for an hour, otherwise this may not be the usage time.

Is there any instruction on this screen guiding how to flip through next page of the parameters ?

You can check in page 6 in this thread as some members did recommend some calibration tools but they are not cheap either

Quite a number of them example spiderman 3
You just beed to enter the code for the "Picture Calibration Easter Egg" i.e. (7669)

Some games have it as well e.g. NFS Underground just go to video settings.

However do take note that all these is not as good, simple and direct as the DVE calibration pattern and instruction icon_rolleyes.gif

This sounds to me that the picture calibration feature is more for that particular movie or game but not necessary accurate for other movies and games because different movie or game might have different color level applied hmm.gif

Simple actually....The ZV picture is just phenomenol..

Just got me a set yesterday and all I can say is that I am FULLY satisfied with the performance. Anyone want a unit with zero interest 12 monthly payment for just RM35XX. Contact me.

The Astro pic is comparable to my previous Plasma TV.
