i think no need la, you can send to Toshiba office ma.
They should cover whole malaysia warranty for 1+1 years ( 1+2 years ? ).

http://www.toshiba.com.my/contact.jsp

but if you buy from SENQ, Harvey Norman, if you top up the warranty period, then you have to go back to them.

This feature means the tv is capable to accept 1080p 24Hz signal and play it back according to its original frame rate (24 frames per second). Yes, ZV has this and in fact it could also accept 1080p (24/25/30/50/60Hz) signals via HDMI connection. 24p playback is quite a common feature in most of the LCD TVs in the market now.

Ya, it is quite expensive with this price. I've checked with one of the TBM shop in KL and they are selling this 42ZV600E at 3.6k+, if pay cash then can discount further on the price. I was told they still have 1 unit in hand but selling fast.

that means the TV will play back at 24fps, without any "intelligent" frame creation like what mentioned in the clearscan feature?

it is norm that in Penang, this TV is quoted at this price. So far, the best price for 47" is RM6099. I could not find a shop to carry ready stock, or best to have demo unit to let us look at the PQ ourselves... sad.gif

Normally you just have to enable the 24Hz signal from your player or device and output to the tv. Currently I have both ClearScan (for anti motion blur) and Film Stabilization Mode (for motion dejuddering) set to OFF to ensure the movie is played back in its original frame rate without any frame creation or unnecessary processing.

SEC was selling 47" at RM5699 during CNY. Not sure about now. And you are right there is no display set to see in Penang doh.gif

QUOTE(Bart-man @ Mar 13 2010, 03:55 PM)
Last time I bought my TV (a few days before CNY), I went to SEC Queensbay to ask about 42ZV600E. Retail price was RM4699 but can actually negotiate till RM39xx  brows.gif

I also asked about 42RV600E at the same time, retail price was RM3999, member price was RM3399. but I managed to negotiate till RM3000 (cash price) inclusive of wall mount bracket and delivery+installation.

So I ended up getting 42RV600E since I save almost RM1000 and the price is close enough to KL price  rclxm9.gif

According to their CNY catalog here (Toshiba TV is at page 3, top row 32AV600E, 37AV600E, 42RV600E, 42ZV600E, bottom row 46RV600E, 47ZV600E), the listed price is RM5699 for 47ZV600E, you may want to try your luck there  laugh.gif

If you "too free" please also help me ask the current price of my TV, I wanna know LCD TV price go up or go down after CNY  tongue.gif

New owner of 42ZV600E.
Playing around with the settings now to get best PQ for Astro Beyond using HDMI.
So far so good except the long bootup time.
It takes average 14sec from pressing power on button on remote to PQ appearance sad.gif .
This is rather long. Is this normal? Any tweaking to speed it up tongue.gif ?
Any pointer where to get 'Best' setting for this TV viewing Astro Beyong HD channels?
TQ

The current ZV series has the design that when you switch it on, there will be a click sound followed by the green indicator light up. Only after few seconds, you will hear a second click sound before the display comes up. So, I presume you are not talking about this ? Which model they are using which have this problem ?

My new 42ZV600E took about 14 sec from pressing power on button (remote) to PQ showing with Astro Beyond HDMI input blush.gif .
How long did yours take?
TQ

yes, agree with you also.
Previous i got 32", look OK when start, after few months, look small.
Then bought this 42", after put at the TV rack, look very big. But after few days, look perfect.
My house also small. Sofa to TV about 7-8 feets, i think that is just okay for me. Unless i seat in front near, then it will be too close to the TV.
Hang to wall if you think too near. My TV to wall still got 8-10 inch space.

I think it is around 6-7 secs, didn't exactly time it and definitely won't go beyond 10 secs. How could yours take so long hmm.gif . From the first click sound until the blank display comes up right after the second click sound heard should not take that long
