Bought my 55ZV600E last week from Desa Home Theatre in Kepong, very attractive price cos last piece and clearing stock cos it's discontinued.
Very hard to find this model now, LG/MG in SS2 still has some stock, price around RM6750.

LCD black level can never match that of Plasma, or not so far anyway.
The LED/Backlit LCD is getting closer - but still can't fight those like Panasonic V20K series.

Plasma is always excel under dim/dark environment while LCD is good to watch during day time because of its brightness and contrast level, as well as suitable for long hours gaming. In my opinion, if you want to watch the movie under dim environment with LCD, minimum must have few warm lights switched on as total dark environment is not suitable at all for watching a LCD TV You can try the calibrated settings in my post in pg 35 to see whether it helps to improve the black level. As for me, it is ok even though it is not as black as watching it during day time but definitely not grey/white color for black (with warm lights switched on)

Try fitting some bias light behind the panel, honestly in pitch black even Plasma black level will suffer. Should always have some kind of ambient light, if not your iris will constrict and the blacks will become grey. Cleared up payment for the TV today and registered the warranty online, wonder when I'll get my DVD player This post has been edited by ShaolinTiger: Nov 26 2010, 02:02 PM
