according to apple, they delayed the international release to end of may due to overwhelming respond in the US

hmmm, for those who got the US version, do you use a step down converter or just charge it via the PC/MAC?

I just remove the standard US pins from the adapter and used a spare from my macbook and it charges just fine. For people with older PCs/Macs they may find it difficult to charge (*US version or not does not matter) as the iPad requires a 10W adapter (*your iPhone only uses a 5W adapter) and most of the USB ports are not able to supply enough power to charge the device. I can charge it with my iPhone charger but it just takes longer.

Looking around for any form of "Mi-Fi"-like personal hotspot generator available. So far none. Nope, not gonna jailbreak for MyWi, wireless-on-wireless is killer on the iPhone battery, even if I'm using the Moshi Juice Air.

A more pressing issue is finding a proper form of protection for the iPad. A case should do fine, but the current selection of cases available are pretty dull. No silicone for me, as that kind of material collects dust like a vacuum cleaner. I may just relent and get myself the Apple iPad case even though I've mentioned how below par the case is.

Someone just please make a clear case for the back, and I'll just slap on a screen protector and be done with it. I'm carrying around the iPad with its original plastic cover wrapped on it, for crying out loud!

Was carrying it out in the default plastic wrapped until that got too much dirt on it so had to ditch it. Now I just have to watch where I put the device and hope no scratches are on the back of the device.

@ aruja 69 It should be possible to use your credit to buy it in apple store US and send it to a valid US address.. For paypal, just go to their website and subscribe an account. Once you have an account add your credit card into your account and you can use your paypal already. Just read the instructions there should be straight forward as I have an account there too..

@rx330 Hmm.... maybe those global banks such as citibank/hscbc can be used there... Never tried before buying stuff from US apple store... Should be able too as I have my US itunes account but using CIMB CC=D

Not a big fan of "wrapping-style" protection.

I just need a clear case for the back and a screen protector. I know there's that Epik case around, but the design is not so "epik", if you get what I mean.

Haha yea saw it too.... since iPad just realeased into the market.. Have to wait maybe a month or 2 before malaysia starts bringing in the ipad then retailers will start bringing in more of the casing =D till then I guess whatever is available is better than nothing right?

I've just repurchased N.O.V.A, Modern Combat: Sandstorm, NFS Shift and Real Racin HD for the iPad. In addition, MGS Touch looks nice on the iPad as well, and also purchased Geometry Wars Touch. I'm still on the fence with regards to Scrabble for iPad, Civ Rev for iPad and Warpgate HD.

Also purchased the World Atlas HD by Nat Geo for work purposes, Weather HD for that seriously beautiful weather forecast screens, and have synced all my Kindle books into the iPAd via the Kindle app.Foreflight 3 HD looks enticing, but I'm not convinced I can put it to good use at work because of the lack of more detailed data especially on airports outside of continental US.

Nothing purchased from iBookstore, just samples. Tons of movies, TV Shows and music synced in, the iPad is made for this very purpose. Especially with my labour of love tagging all my media with detailed metadata, nice HD covers and movie posters, this turns out seriously breathtaking on the iPad. Too bad 64Gb isn't that big to shout about, I have to pick and select which TV Show/Movie/Songs to sync into. Just for info, my iTunes library alone clocks in at 1.9TB (nope, not a typo, that's a Terabyte).

Wow string, 1.9 TB.... Thats a whole lot of media in your HDD.... Im sure loads of HD movies and tons of songs =P... You should share some with us =D
