my thoughts exactly. nobody works for free. unless the guy is some kind of a saint, then he can work for zero profit. but in today's world, there is no such person who is so generous to "throw price" and sell at wholesale price to consumer.

I am sorry but as a customer, this bickering among sellers is nothing but childishness, pettiness and to an extent jealousy. If a seller can afford to sell games at "wholesale price + RM5" while making a profit, why can't others too? So it's his fault he has a better supply chain? It's his fault he located his shop that has cheaper rental, have staff that are cheaper and is able to obtain games cheaper? And to those small timers who are trying to earn a buck but can't compete, I'm sorry but asking other sellers to respect you? It's a dog eat dog world. Nut up or shut up.

Sellers like alexwlh will always have loyal customers who want to COD at their houses and wouldn't mind paying a slight premium for convenience. Like someone mentioned at his thread, there'll always be people who wouldn't mind paying more to get their games early (like me with R1 Beatles Rock Band, and many others with WKC, U2 R1 or other games).

I still maintain that if sellers can't find a market or can't improve their supply chain management to stay competitive, you do not deserve any respect.

Exactly, no point moaning you can't beat their price. Unless some sellers try to destroy the competition by selling below cost, I don't see anything wrong at all, especially since it's a timed promotion. Not like it will be that low forever.

Exactly. nelson isn't practicing dumping. I don't see why it's his fault he has a better supplier and refuses to share. It's business! If you cannot compete cost wise, improve elsewhere. I mean alex has developed a customer base from his excellent service (I've experienced it first hand!) and there'll be times I wouldn't mind paying a premium. If I do not need or want better service, I go for low cost @ others.

I know there are many small timers trying to penetrate the market but don't hate the player, hate the game. This reminds me of the time other small retailers started crying foul for the pricing strategies practiced by a famous retailer in USA.

I'm sorry for Bernard if this is true but so what do you want the online sellers to do? Lose customers? You are not respecting these online sellers or bulk sellers if you expect them to raise their prices so others can have the biggest piece of the pie and it's easy for you to say resting on your couch but if I am a seller, I want the whole f***ing pie for myself.

some of us are looking for fairness.
as it stands, we're paying the same amount of money per downloadable game, as westerners are paying for full disc based games.

that's completely ridiculous.

I have dealt with alex few times before and usually when i want a game fast i get from alex as he can COD the fastest (normally late at night...)...Of cos I know his price is not the cheapest as well but I have never bargained with him even once becos I know I hav to pay for his fast service as well.....

I am sure there r a number of LYN members would rather pay extra RM5-10 for a better/fast service...

Of cos I am not saying that other sellers who sell cheaper than him has a bad service/reputation...Its just that some may hav different suppliers who can provide cheaper prices...in tat case i would ask the seller to look for better suppliers...

Added on February 2, 2010, 8:23 pmi don't mind paying more for fast service but one thing about alex that i forgot to mention, is that he has no confidence in his customer's loyalty to him. he told me he is afraid all of his customers run away to the "charity worker" sellers and that all his preorders of WKC got cancelled because of them. i said, i still want to buy but he don't believe me and told me to look for others. so i go look for the kind and charitable sellers who is going to sell me WKC at wholesale price.

do you all remember when alex try to brought in kz2? a lot of preorders, then suddenly he lost a lot of customers due to cut in supply.

he tried his best to bring more week after week, but some customers were on extremely aggressive stance.

everytime when exclusive games come out, he's being pessimistic, not sure what to expect.

I did remember what happened to his 1st batch of UC2 R1.... and not sure if he had problems with Bayonetta R1 or GOW R1 .... he does encounter lots of obstacles....

anyway, I am sure he is not the only seller encountering all these problems....it goes to those brick and mortar sellers with shop rentals/electricity bills to pay .... ..

Hye bro,alex is actually in JB during the release date of WKC and SO 4,
therefore he cant do cod with you,there might be some misunderstand between you guys,
sometimes men do suffer and stress from their job,maybe just show some love and understanding and everything would be better.
