Its better to change the O2 sensor quick. Because it involves the combustion. So now i guess u would have bad fuel economy and engine jerking problems.

wira/satria o2 sensor only cost Rm150 max.. hehehe.
yap.. is true.. for me, no point using X1R and bla bla bla.. just change the engine oil/gear oil at the right time and interval... for flushing your engine oil every 2 times replacing engine oil is not required.. but if you are overpaid.. you can try it.. u are using same grade /brand of engine oil.. there is no need for flushing.. even though you are using diff brand also, no need for flushing.. but ig very love your engine.. you can flushing.. for me... use good oil filter, good and original oil engine is enough already. if you still want to remove the remaining sludge, contimation inside your engine.just remove the oil sump tank.. and clean it up.. for injector cleaner, how it works? my engine already 17years old engine.. still not used the injector cleaner,X1R and bla2.. still running good... but i will try to used injector cleaner to see the performance but X1R and bla2... i dont want to used it.. |

That's the power of nightmare(if Honda) or Moving forward to kill you(Toyota) on spart parts.... It is monopolized market mar if owner of that 2......
People buy car now never think of parts and maintenance, they just want the look.... Anyway, those fuel injection cleaners, engine flush or whatever stuffs can be or not need to use.... But considering some parts of the engine oil compartment will be stagnent and it may have sludge built up. For me, I'll use engine flush once a year to remove those sludge... But then it is acid, so follow the instructions. If rm20-30 can prevent your car on doing overhaul(which cost >rm500 and almost 1 week no car), why not? Injection cleaner, depending on the design again it may or may not a must... But if you got keep a good record on FC, you will know this stuff actually helps... If not, why some time there's members open a thread and say their FC are bad? Some people like to do major operation rather than having the concept of "prevention than cure". I won't say it is wrong, but the pain suffered is something need to be consider.. Just like you know you have high cholesterol and high blood sugar, you still want to drink tea tarik tambah manis and nasi lemak everyday? And O2 sensor won't be damaged so easy, best is pour the injection cleaner when the fuel tank is full.... This post has been edited by kyheng: Feb 12 2011, 09:15 AM |

wah. i dont know my thread is still going on.. hahaha
anyway.. once i change the o2sensor.. and once i use that x1r treatment.. i dont dare to use that thing again at all.. not because of that thing cheap or expensive just we must know that.. our petrol (shell,BHP,Petronas,Esso Mobil, Caltex and etc) already did research billion of dollar also with our engine oil.. im pretty sure engine oil and our petrol/diesel is good enuff already. |

For those using fuel injector cleaner, not necessary to use it if you are using Caltex regularly. Caltex techron will clean your valves, injectors, etc. The only thing is Caltex the additive is much milder than the fuel injector cleaner so it won't clean completely with one tank fill. If you use it regularly without switching brands then it will be fine.
You only use fuel injector cleaner if you keep switching between petrol brands so in other words fuel injector cleaners are much stronger than Caltex so it will clean your injectors, valves with one bottle. p/s: I'm not an agent or salesman of Caltex and I don't work for them. This is based on what I read about what they use in their fuel. Caltex also did mention in their faq page that you don't need any petrol treatment or fuel treatment if you've been using it's petrol without switching brands. |

I heard about this product being a snake oil when I bought the X-1R (for fuel).
Honestly I swear it reduced my car RPM because often times I get about 2000rpm on idle and it somehow gone down after I start using it today. I really wonder if the product really is snake oil as some people say. Going to observe it for a few days. |
