This is the renovation done in my house. The workmanship is very nice and the price is reasonable (according to my dad because he deal with the contractor). Dining Room Entrance Living Room It's a Chinese contractor and it's very friendly, you can talk about anything with him so i decided to put out his number so you guys can try to have a deal with him. His number is 016-3597215, Mr Liew. The price for whole renovation for my house is just around 7K and i think it is worth because of his workmanship and his service. You mean RM 7k just for plaster ceiling only?
How much RM psf and what is your house built-up area?

Normally, plaster ceiling installation would be cost around RM2 per sqft (plain type). Box, L-box and cornice will be added additionally.

The wiring for the lighting is done by electrician, nothing to do with the plaster ceiling chap, although your contractor will make a margin for pulling the whole thing together for you.
Lots of folk sometime forget plaster ceiling drive up lighting cost because you need to re do the lighting wiring. Those lighting point wiring will be expensive but the down light itself is cheap.
BTW, doing those L box will increase house maint work. Spider and dust loves those box.

The most i get in Penang here is RM2.20 per sqft unless u do it for very small area only. I myself get RM2.40 per sqft for the plaster ceiling that have reinforced metal in the middle of the fiber
