I am not sure with the current version. But the previous version i am using requires users to set modes for the level of notification.

Also, there is 1 mode known as installation mode which reduces the notification during the installation or the removal of the program files.

Nope didnt slow down mah PC at all (memory usage is about 5 MB and below), and No it doesnt come up with lotsa popup, Threatfire is designed to complement your AV, meaning if your AV warn about certain infection, threatfire wont warn that. It will only warn what your AV missed.

The threatfire you use is anti virus or the firewall only?

Im using avira not bad quite light compared to kapersky

hv anyone already try vipre antivirus.....???my technician said that this av better than others at market....it fully detect any malware,virus n else....its also saving ur ram usage...

the one u using one is kis or kav? i tried kav 2011 is working smoothly as avira.

lol....vipre win.... its best of da best av software...

anyway...i choose mse....although not get 10th av,but its free.... also,i use it without any prob yet...

Used kis before then after finish switched to avira

yeah it all goes down to the user which one they feel most comfortable with

KAV 2011 you use it for how long?

I am using the KIS 2011. Sometime it tend to have random surge on CPU usage, but the frequency decline when i upgraded to the latest version.

Hope it gets better with each upgrade

I don't think so. KIS is getting heavier and heavier with each new version.

i'm just using mse av 2 month ago...actually i'm shocked when first time i use it since its from microsoft(because its free).... ..but it really make me satisfy n also its stable my pc..unlike other av,mse do scanning job without lagging my pc....
