and i thought D90 battery can last more longer than D3k..and maybe D5k??
not sure though...i rmb last time i choose D90...one of the reason is the battery last longer than entry level...
*
the original EN-EL3 of d80/90 of course will last longer compare to the third party battery, i just buy it for extra back up.
Quality is terrible, buy 1 original can buy like 3 to 4 of it.

does anyone hear of Digital King uv filter?
*
alot of brands out there, not pushing u for expensive stuff but if u just want a uv filter act as a protector to your lens, u can pretty much take any cheap brands but if u truly looking for a good functioning uv filter, u should go for the hoya / BW / Pro-1d series . 1 for the price of 2 cheap filters.
Some even dont bother to use filters but i did see before how a uv filter save a lens in accidental crash.

Any ideas guys? Need advice from all sifu.

u can basically shoot anything at high quality by using a prime like 35mm f1.8.
the 18-270 VC is very nice as a all rounder multipurpose usage for travel ,landscape to portrait.

17-50 VC is also a good choice to replace the kit len as starter without spending for the 55-200.

high zoom are for snap shot / sports / animal shoots.

Dont buy a long zoom simply because u lazy to put yourself in good position to frame your target.

hi.im new here.
thinking of switching from digi cam to slr. at first was thinking of sony alpha models... but i took same quiz online..and result was nikon 5000..lol.. am beginner level. i do want the titled screen tongue.gif.
would like to ask how much is the price range in msia?
for single and twin lens.

much appreciated if someone can answer me thanks
*
I would advice you to buy only the body alone and look for secondhand nikon kit lens just because alot of shop selling it in a set and the buyer normally will sell it real cheap in secondhand market in less than a month just to upgrades.
normally twin lens would be 18-55mm + 55-200mm in which they sell u the second 55-200 together with the package cheaper as if u buying the lens alone.

try nego for a cheap new d5000 body and then look around in garage sales for a lens that u want.

should consider for a 17-50 VC or a prime lens like 35mm f1.8 G or 50mm1.4 G ( both cost more than rm1500) which u ll upgrade eventually in the future Or u can scout for a all rounder lens like sigma 18-200 OS or the 18-270 VC that cover both the twin lens capability.

Thanks for input guys..thinking to get from harvey norman since they got branch here too..maybe can make a deal cause when i wanted a laptop they say harvey's extende warranty can be used in back home too..i see most packaged only 1 lens compared here 2 lens..how much cheaper will the price drop say a year for the extra lens. Or best just for me to stick for 1 lens.thanks
*
if u sure u can use the warranty back at aus if u buy from harvey then its a good choice.
Yes , u should stick to the kit lens alone. Salesman would however push u for a second lens . Learn to say 'NO'
U ll eventually know what kinda lens u would be buying next after sometimes in photography.
Everyone needs different kinda lens depending on what kind of photography they do.

best choice to get for a d5000 would be the must have
af-s 35mm f1.8 (rm800+)
af-s 50mm f1.4 (rm1500+)
af-s 85mm f1.8 (rm1500+)

dont challenge the quality of what the prime can produce smile.gif

with memory cards.should i be aware of ori or fake card? i remember last time buying my hp, at first say 4gb this price then say super ori another price...
*
yea i also heard about fake sandisk sdhc

Just try to get someone who knows someone that sells good original item

walk in = nice to chop alive

regular = maybe can chat in honest way.

Some shops are very sombong and yes i say them sombong because they sometime too straight forward and honest without wasting your time and their time.

This kind of sombong shop are good shops to me, because they give advice to newbie.

Zoom in and out is for further range, when you shoot at 105, the flash zooms to 105mm, meaning it'll be able to reach further but not as much coverage like 18mm or so.

One thing I don't understand is that, my zoom moves around when I bounce to ceiling :S.
*
maybe something wrong with your flash lol, the flash just calculate the distance of your target based on the distance of the zoom in TTL so the flash can set what power to shoots. I first found out using flash is more complicated than using a DSLR itself. I dont use full manual for my di866 nowdays.

well i did ask them...it seems they claim it is original..weird huh for the price they are selling

just pretend as a potential buyer and ask for whats in box , check for the warranty card.
With that price, it is without a doubt grey set.
Can anyone tell me what so bad about grey set?

that miya...com is from lelong.com.my if i m not mistaken.
I did buy a camcorder before online in buysell.com.my
it turn out to be a grey set without a malaysian warranty .

so i can confirm to u , the set is a grey set with personal 1 year warranty from the seller. Plus it is hard to get in hold with in.

If u trust your luck, u could try.

1 year warranty is not that important to me actually.
