May we know a little bit more about your concern with International students? Perhaps we can answer better when we understand the reason behind your question? smile.gif

Sunway personally helping students here, that's awesome! =D

I'll be joining the MUFY programme at Sunway this July Inshallah. I'm soo excited =D I was wondering if you could guide me regarding what Mathematics I should take at MUFY. I'll be joining the BBusCom programme in Monash.

Fundamental Mathematics A is easy peasy. I would say a free 100 marks, according to the description. I don't know a word of Mathematics A. Is any of the two more preferred? What would you suggest I do?

Thank you! =)

Thanks for the comment! We appreciate it smile.gif

You'll be taking a Mathematics test during your Orientation programme. During the programme, you'll be able to know which level of Mathematics in MUFY is a best fit for you. Any of the Mathematics subjects are suitable for BBusCom.

Actually I'd like to know a little about that too. MUFY has many international students or it's mostly all Malaysian? I hope I don't feel left out =(

I shall be starting my CFAB course at Sunway in July. Therefore I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about the Sun-U Apartment units. It would be better if you could attach pictures too.

1. How many people are there in a room?
2. Are there television units?
3. In a scale of 1-10 (1 is terrible and 10 is the best), how would you rate the hostel?
4. Is there anywhere we can keep our personal belongings (like laptop etc) locked up?
5. Are we allowed to decorate the room?
6. How far is the hostel from the college?
7. How far is the hostel from Sunway Pyramid?
8. Are there rules like no entering the hostel area after 10pm?
9. Where do we do our laundry?
10. How fast is the internet connection?
11. What should I bring when I go? What are the items available in the room?

Thanks to anyone who takes time to answer all my questions. Sorry if there're too many but I just want to be sure before going. Thanks again!
*
1. For the Sun-U Apartment, students will be allocated to either 4 sharing in a room or 2 sharing in a room.
2. There is no television in the units
3. This is something rather subjective. Personally, I would rate it an eight out of ten as the two points would be for air-conditioning.
4. Students are reminded to bring a small pad lock so that you can keep your belongings in the wardrobe and lock it when you are not around.
5. You are recommended to keep the room clean, but you will not be allowed to stick things that will mess up the paint of the wall
6. It is around 5 minutes walk
7. It is around 10 minutes walk
8. There are curfews. You are required to be back by midnight unless you have gotten the approval from the warden.
9. There is a launderette at the ground floor with coin operated machines.
10. It will depend on the upload/download traffic in the entire hostel on that particular day. The speed will fluctuate.
11. There is a single bed, study table, study shelf and wardrobe for each person. Bring along your mattress sheet and pillows.

How much is the single room rental in sun u condo or whatever it is called? Is there any single room available or easily can get 1?

If there is none...know any nearby place that i could get a single room? Must be within walking distance too. Air condition does not really matter.

If you're going for cheap ones (around RM150 to RM400 range), you can find at Lagoon Perdana, it's 24 hours security and you can have your own room..

Hostel rates are kinda expensive with 2 sharing costing more than 400 and 4 sharing costing more than 300..

You will have to check with Monash. However, if you'd like to transfer to our Accounting and Finance degree or our Business Management degree it will be up to your results in CFAB/CAT.

Have you already registered with us? Perhaps we can recommend other pathways if you haven't.

Our single rooms are currently fully booked. There are several options around the area. Do search around or contact our Student Services Dept. for help with this.

Maybe I'm considering to enter the degree course in sunway, most probably accounting and finance, currently im taking a lvls and the final result will be release on August but definately after the August intake of sunway uni.

So i use my forecast result and apply for it first then show my actual result to Sunway once i get it..is that correct? I got ABB for forecast and should be enough to enter the business course right? What if (touch wood) my final result fall below the entry requirement, lets say DDD..will i automatically get kick out of the college?

With regards to your enquiry, kindly be informed that you can use your forecast results to apply for the Accounting and Finance degree. However, if your actual result fall below the entry requirement, you will not be allowed to continue with the course anymore.

Hey I'm currently completing my A-lvls and I'm interested in joining the ACCA program. From what i see it is 2.5 years with entry requirement of 2 credits in a lvls. Credit means C, am i right?

What if i dont have 2 credits? Can i take CAT>ACCA? (3 years to complete instead of 2.5 years)
CAT requirement is just SPM right? So do you guys think it's a waste of time because i can save up half a year if i use a lvls result.
Is it advisable to start from CAT because im really afraid i cant cope straight in ACCA, i rather waste another half a year to gain a proper foundation but then again im pretty sad because i wasted 15 months doing a lvls (at that time im not really sure what i wanted to do so i went into a lvls and in the end wasted my time)
Advice please..
And if possible e-mail me the fees for CAT and ACCA full time programme. I already PM-ed you my email
