My first question, whats the difference between
• BSc (Hons) Information Systems
• BSc (Hons) Information Technology
*
The difference lies in the subjects taken and the overall focus. Do have a look at the Computer Technology Brochure

The BSc (Hons) Information Technology tends to be more technical with focus on programming/networking and software development.

The BSc (Hons) Information Systems has a broader focus on how technology can be applied in a business environment with focus on e-commerce and business intelligence systems.

*
Well...you can continue on to finish your ACCA. Are you talking about other options?

If to compare the course consultant's professionalism and quality, I would say Sunway Uni College is far better than University of Nottingham.

How much is A-levels for Science subjects?
*
If you are taking a combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology then your total will come up to ~RM25K. This includes the tuition fee, laboratory fees, internal assessment fees and etc. It excludes the external examination fee paid to Cambridge.

What are the differences between BSc (Hons) Psychology and Bachelor of Psychology?

Do we have to take any Science subjects in order to enter BSc (Hons) Psychology?
*
There is very little difference between BSc(Hons) Psychology and Bachelor of Psychology in that they are purely focused on Psychology with little to no external subjects (like business, general education, mathematics, etc.). Subjects will differ from university to university. Different universities will also have different ways of naming their degree.

The (Hons) will also indicate the system where in Sunway, with our tie to Lancaster, UK, we refer to the UK system of (Hons). Therefore, our syllabus is a collaboration with Lancaster and isn't in-bred. Being science based will also indicate the method of study and the syllabus.

Do have a look at our Psychology brochure

how much the cost for CAT ? what university approves that?
*
CAT is a professional accounting programme. Therefore, it isn't tied to the approval of a university. Rather it is tied to a professional body known as ACCA.

The cost for CAT will vary on centre, because you will be paying for the tuition/workshop fees and not the actual examination fee. The examination fee is determined by ACCA not the centre itself.

In Sunway, the fee for CAT will be RM11K++ excluding the external examination fee which will vary based on the UK pound.

What are the fees needed for the MUFY course? And where else can you go with it other than Monash University?
*
The MUFY programme will allow you to go to all local private universities and also to most Australian universities. We have had students entering the University of Melbourne through the MUFY programme.

The cost for the programme will vary starting from RM20K++ depending on the subjects you take.

Do have a look at our MUFY brochure

To enter ICAEW can I use degrees from other universities or must the degree be from Sunway University College?
*
You can use a degree from any nationally accredited university to enter ICAEW. So it depends on which degree you hold.

so is this how the path way looks like?

CAT --> Degree --> ACCA    ( if i wish to take ACCA after Degree )

and , can i get the exemption of 9 papers at the Fundamentals level if i go for CAT --> Degree --> ACCA ?
*
The exemptions for ACCA will depend on the arrangement with the university and ACCA. But most Accounting degrees do get exemptions. The number of exemptions again depends on the degree. For Business degrees, there are little to no exemptions most of the time.

Can I do both ACCA and Degree at the same time?
*
Only after completion of the degree will you get ACCA exemptions (9 papers). Therefore, it will be better to complete your degree first.

oh ok..
1)    so for the Accounting Degrees , we dont need to go for Diploma in order to study the Degree right? we can also study the CAT first and then only go for Accounting Degrees right ?
2)    and the Communication Skills in Business (CSB) , do we take the exam with CAT or we take the exam before we take the CAT?
*
1) Yes, you can. It will be subject to your CAT results. You will need to ensure that you pass all your papers. It will also depend on the different university's entry requirements.

2) The Communication Skills in Business (CSB) foundation is taken concurrently with the course. So as you study for your CAT papers, you will be improving your Communication Skills.

i have just applied for ACCA at sunway. didn't know there is a degree for accounting at sunway. how long does it take to complete the degree at sunway? is it advisable to go for ACCA straight instead of the degree. I have A levels in science subjects.

do you answer hostel related questions? I would like to know more about the laundry services at sun -u apartment. do they provide dryer machine or only washing machine? what about the rate for Dobi's?
*
1) It takes 3 years to complete a degree.

2) Whether ACCA or degree, it depends on what your career goals. Do drop by the Information Centre for one-on-one counselling.

3) Yes, we do answer hostel-related questions. We do have both washing machines and a dryer in the Apartment general area. About the rate for Dobi's you will need to check with the different Dobi's in the area.

I'm interested in the American Degree Transfer Program.
Again, what are the fees? Is it for example RM xxxx per annum or per month, et cetera?

And is it too late if I apply for it now? I've just finished my SPM.
Can I apply with just my trial results?
And can I apply for the January intake?

What are the differences between a B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) in Engineering and a BEng (Bachelor in Engineering)?

Pardon me for barraging you with a multitude of questions, but I'm just really curious. =)
*
I think @cain has answered most of your questions.

1) The fees for roughly 2 years at our campus would come up to about RM 28,800 for 60 credit hours. We will have to look at the subjects you take as we count per credit hour.

2) It is not too late to apply but do apply within this week for the January intake.

3) Yes, you can apply with your trial results.

4) For B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) in Engineering and a BEng (Bachelor in Engineering), the difference lies in the faculty. But if you compare course contents, they come up to be about the same. It is a naming convention based on the different systems a university holds.

Hope this helps.

Is there any consequences, if a student take tuition outside Sunway-tes on a paper of ACCA ? will it affects the job opportunity? and will the college assists students on job applications to Big 4 upon completion of ACCA?
*
1) Tuition courses are up to the student. We do not take any negative action if you're asking about that.

2) I don't understand. Will your tuition affect your job opportunity? Of course not. wink.gif

3) We do have job placement programmes. So yes, we do have job centres to help you with your applications to the Big 4. But the decision to hire rests on the Big 4 not on us wink.gif
