Added on December 17, 2011, 10:41 amHi there. We do not offer an engineering degree locally in Malaysia, therefore we do not offer a foundation in science.

What students will normally do is to take up either a pre-university programme for 1 - 1.5 years and then proceed to their university of choice for 4 years engineering degree. Another option that students will opt for will be the American Degree Transfer Program, whereby they will spend approximately 2 years in Malaysia and then transfer to US for the final 2 years.

Both pre-university programme and the American Degree Transfer Program will require a minimum of 5 credits in SPM.

Will the topics learned in both the programme be the same?

How come AUSMAT is shorter? Will it be very stressful and rushing for time as all is crammed into 11 months?

I don't have any idea how does the ACCA works. I mean, did I need to finish my Pre U program at the first place in order to fulfill the entry requirement for ACCA program ? By the way, I'm a SPM leaver with no accounting basics.

Hi there. Can i first of all check with you how is your SPM trial or forecast result? There are generally 2 pathways to qualify for ACCA.

The first pathway is through the CAT programme for 1 year before proceeding to ACCA for another 2 years. The second pathway is through a 1 - 1.5 years of pre-university or foundation programme, then proceed to a 3 years degree. After completion of the degree, you can then proceed to ACCA for another 1 - 1.5 years.
