I feel YTL power is a good stock but is down because it has been made a punching bag by politicians and also their bad investment into YES. I have to admit YES is growing slowly but I feel they should just buy foreign assets bid for overseas projects instead.

Amanaraya Trustees Bhd-Skim Amanah Saham Bumiputra ceases to be YTL Power’s substantial shareholder

The cessation was effective on June 27 after Amanah Trustees sold 15 million shares in YTL Power.

IMO, the managing director did not take into account the interest of shareholders before making such statement. A director who do not take good care of his shareholders' interest is not worth investing in the company.

Even before he made that statement, YTL was already a punching bag for years.
For years people have always assumed he got the IPP because he was a crony.
To me being a crony is wrong but on the hand I think he was an astute businessman and made the right investments.
And in the end the Malaysian people do benefit indirectly via EPF's holdings of YTL.

There are much worse cronies around, who suck and suck ....

He made that statement to deny he was a crony. But it made things worse.
Like I said I think he should just invest overseas.

The share price is not performing so far.... thinking of continue accumulate the shares now while it is undervalue.

Any expert with any comment ?

Trading below NTA 1.47 n less than 10x PE

All seem worried about the renewal of the pasir gudang power plant. I think chance is very slim.

Best is to stay away 1st. Till things are much clearer
