May I know the reason YTL-P share price not increasing when they announce this share dividen? I fact i see the price continue to drop slightly if not for the share buyback.

wil-i-am taiko, one thing i don't understand. How come we get 100 shares but the share price like get adjusted also eh? I used to remember YTLPOWR was around 1.70, then suddenly one day I saw it was less than 1.60 already....Do you know why?

Eh that means technically we're not getting anything la? We get shares but price gets adjusted accordingly? Sounds like even to me. I thought we will get shares and price won't be adjusted :S

Ruling will be more effective towards the UK Government way. I am pretty sure it wont hurt YTL since they have a lot of other diversified business for the record.

1400MW JOHOR PLANT: Talk is rife that YTL Power-led consortium will get project

THE Energy Commission is expected to award either the Track 4A or 4B power plant projects via direct negotiations and not through competitive bidding, as has been the practice since 2012.
An industry source said speculation is rife that a consortium led by YTL Power International Bhd will bag the multi-billion ringgit project.

The source said the commission is expected to release a letter of award to a private company for the contract to build a 1,400 megawatt closed-cycle gas turbine power plant in Johor, to be completed in 2018.

SIPP-YTL-Tenaga JV picked for 1,000MW Johor power plant job

The consortium will develop a fast track combined cycle power plant (CCGT) using proven technology with a capacity of 1,000 MW to 1,400 MW in Pasir Gudang. This was on condition the technical and commercial proposals were acceptable to commission.

“The levelised tariff that may be considered competitive must be comparable to the Prai CCGT tender exercise concluded in 2012,” it said.
