then what's the meaning?
*
to brick a device means to render it useless...

we use it as a verb here...

a phone is "bricked" means u cannot turn it on... usually happens after a failed ROM/firmware flash... same thing can happen to laptop (fail BIOS update)

so u ve a super duper expensive paper weight instantly.. .laugh.gif

huh? mean if u get ur phone through contract u cannot update the firmware by urself? have to use the phoneline provide 1?
*
the main problem is that SingTel went ahead to customize the firmware themselves...

no pt asking HTC as they will juz ask u to refer to SingTel...

for the less adventurous, u can wait for SingTel to push down the update (which usually takes forever)...

for the more adventurous ones, there are ways on the Net to teach u how to flash the ROM totally and use customized ones...

wat i want now, is to flash to HTC's generic firmware...

by rit yes,,, WM6.5 is meant to be a stop gap product before WM7 is out...

but heck, the prospect that MS will quit the market after WM7, and the dependent use of a stylus is wat put me off...

@astria u want J.Co donut?? laugh.gif anyway what's the difference between the 1 u using right now and donut??
*
current one is Cupcake, not yummy... laugh.gif

anyway, the main thing abt Donut is that HTC has added it's useful Sense UI into it as well, that's where the multi-touch can be made use of...

@Oakha not using any BenQ notebook, cant help u
@astria mean if hero dont eat donut=no multitouch also?
*
Hero is eating Donut, and HTC even went on to customize Donut such that Hero's ROM has a unique UI... but earlier ones like Dream, Magic and Tattoo are still eating Cupcake by default...

but Motorola's newest Droid (as in , the model name is Droid) is already eating Eclair... cry.gif
