My brother's pair uses Hoya lenses. He said the transition effect comes faster than mine (Carl Zeiss). Is that true?

You should get another card that displays the lenses power (SPH, CYL, AXIS and ADD) for R and L with model of the lenses as well.

I received two cards.

how do prove that is a transition lens
1.certificate of authenticity card
2.lens packaging (verify ur power is the same on the packaging, this is very important) .

Carl Zeiss, Hoya, Essilor, Solar and etc are lenses manufacturer.

Transitions Optical owns the proprietary technology for photochromic lenses technology. The first commercially successful plastic photochromic lens was introduced by Transitions Optical in 1991.

MOG price is reasonable if it is 1.67 lens...
how much are your power?can take 1.6 or even 1.5 if your power not too high..will be cheaper anyway...

not all need to be transition..
there are still alot type of lens out there...
they just try to con u to buy expensive lens

Hi Irzani, may I know what is your power? as I was quoted higher for an Essilor Transition lens, due to my high astig. My astig is 400(L) and 250®, was told high astig at 400, lenses will be expensive, is it true?

Just a quick question, what is the difference between 1.67 and 1.5?
Hoya Transition - RM400; Carl Zeiss Transtion - RM450, which one is better and more worth? Thanks.

if I am not mistaken, high index lenses are thinner and lighter then conventional lenses, the higher the index the thinner and lighter it is.

Just got myself a Varilux Comfort high index 1.59 lenses... smile.gif

You guys got it so cheap. 3 years ago I got my Essilor Airwear Transition Crizal 1.591 lens for RM1000 a pair. Exactly 2 years ago I made another so called Transition lens overseas, found out the lens was not as thin, as light and as flat, which enough to cause headache. After comparison from other shops, got to know it is because of Airwear lens, which being thinner, lighter and flat, more importantly it is polycarbonate resin, ultra strong for frameless.

A week ago I made another pair of lens with Essilor Airwear Trans Crizal again, price after bargaining was still RM900 a pair. After reading most got it at half the price, I wonder are yours polycarbonate as well?

My other non transition Essilor Airwear lens also cost me RM300 a pair.
