Hi ArtcoreWarlock,

I'm a staff member of Global Sources, a leading B2B directory established since 1970. I hope below information will help you get started with importing! smile.gif

Firstly, you may want to check out this article: Importing from China: Getting Started. This article is great for beginners who'll like to learn more about Importing from China. It includes identifying suppliers, selecting suppliers, paying suppliers, manage quality, logistics, etc.

Also, you may want to check out: http://www.globalsources.com/manufacturers...ic-guitars.html for verified suppliers from China & Asia. Our staff visit these suppliers at least 3 times to ensure that they are export-ready & have real factories etc.

You can look out for suppliers with "MOQ" that fit your requirement. You can contact the suppliers using the "Inquire now" button to proceed further/if you've any questions.

For more articles on importing from China, you may also want to check out Smart China Sourcing.

Hi SereneBiz, thx for the useful links. Can U confirmed whether, GlobalSources is a reliable place for us resellers?

I know AliBaba & TradeXXX used to be a place for real supplliers, but with great popularity attracts more scammers (like LYN itself).

@solsekuin44,
Case 1
Hard to say...I recently engaged in a business deal with a supplier in AliBaba. Worryingly they have all the batches (Gold Member, Trusted Seller etc.), but luckily on my side, I delayed the transaction (due to monetary issues sweat.gif ). 1 month after that, the supplier vanished. Not even uncle Google can find d website. All that's left was the invoice they gave me in my email.
Case 2
Just happened 30 mins before I wrote here,
I searched AliBaba again hoping that I'll get a new & trusted company this time. Got a company with more stars than U have on ur name biggrin.gif , did a chat with their company rep (still a lady with kinky names Lynn, Mimi etc.). After 1 hour of discussing, I submit the order form, & she sent me an invoice containing the company name but account payable to an individual (not the company).
So, again I asked Uncle Google & guess whats's top on the list?

Waste my time...

So hard...I know no one would be stupid enough to share their supplier, but I also think that no one would like to hear a small company get cheated this way. So, if there's a thread or topic where ppl can share their reliable supplier, plss share... If U have heart smile.gif

Yes, Alibaba.com is a good website. It is like ebay; there are always scammers everywhere. In fact, people in the world thinks that Malaysians are one of the top scammers in the world! Haha ( I am malaysian btw)

Just a few tips in no particular order:

Other than checking and probing your supplier-partner credibility, background, partnership philosophy, 3rd party references, etc.

It's best you've a China office, agent, person - even at personal level. That can help you do a lot of purchasing at individual level, saving lots of professional fees (procurement, interbank, etc).
They verify & pay at CNY (RMB) level, which a lot of international buyers are not eligible, and does not have the system nor facility to do so.
Paying direct / TT opens your exposure and risk.

Every ~one / organization has a resource limit constrain, if you have to do it solo,
ask your reliable PRC supplier to deliver their goods to a shipper (which have the licenses for exporting it out of their country), which also takes care of your interest when entering another country (i.e. Malaysia) ***you'll want the best rate as a business*** when it comes to the custom bible - you know what that means. Everything taken cared of, delivered to your doorstep: fast, economical, reliable safe, no hassle.

At a different level, there's more services and premium rates, i.e. Goods QC . Inspection, Appointed Purchasing, Private Ports & Ordinaces, Special Government Papers, etc.

Wishing you all the best & succe$$!
