hehe.. lip ice is to protect your lip and it wont looks as glossy as LIp Gloss. Thats why lip gloss is expensive than lip ice. hehe... Some more some lip gloss is mixed with Lipstick. Which mean 2 In 1.

cheap..less than rm5..n it really moisture ur lips..

i have lancome lip gloss.. but it's way too sticky.. n it even dries ur lips out more..
not receommended if u r looking for "protection" ,not "look good wt kissable lips.."

I have to agree with this.. lancome has the best lip gloss and it doesnt wear out easily too(unless you keep licking ur lips for tasting.) My guy friends enjoyed it too as my one was not very obvious intense pink.. This is a definate buy.

Lipbalm is more of the protecting compared to lip gloss. Lip glosses shows really beautiful shiny wet effect. But you would need to be prepared with hair sticking at your lips when wind blows.

Lip balm I would use body shops's lip balm in passion fruit.

i personally think lip glosses doest stay on the whole day. Their watery texture doesnt (enable me to have) long lasting effect.

Bobbi brown lip gloss works well on my lips. It is shiny and it has a nice smell but kinda sticky. I think all lip gloss is sticky rite...

Vaseline works well on crack lips, dry lips and able to stop ur lips from bleeding immediately..tried it before...

i think lip gloss just makes your lips shiny. not sure if it have moisturising effect. for dry chapped lips ...buy lip balms...good ones are like chapstick (got diff flavours), boots, or body shop lip balm/butter. right now i'm using the body shop's born lippy last strawberry lip balm..it's very moisturising and gives the lips a tinted red color too tongue.gif

I dunno if it works or not.. U can try applying Vaseline..Petroleum Jelly onto ur lips n sleeps with it. It will moisturize ur lips. Don't apply lip gloss..lip gloss is..kinda more concentrated n sticky n not really easy to take off. It might worsen ur lip condition. U can find Vaseline almost anywhere..Watson, Guardian, any local pharmacies and even supermarkets. Price is really cheap..I thing less than RM10. And 1 more thing...Drink lots of water too. Good Luck!! smile.gif

Hi,
i also have the same problem like you...
i had try many differ color lip gross before..
i feel that we cannot use those very light and bright color lip gross like pinkish..
my mum have recommend me to use "Bloom" which u can get at SASA...
around RM55 to RM60...altot is expensive but it can last very long..
currently i'm using "cutie pie" color
smile.gif
just have a try...

To moisturize your lips .. so it's not flaky or chapped .. I like the Nivea .. blue tube - plain/original one. It's only RM 7.90. I think they bought over Labello, because the texture and taste/smell is the same as that.

Before you put on your lipstick, use the lip balm (like above) first .. for awhile .. then blot with a tissue. That way the lips won't dry up even all day long.

If you want lip gloss .. I'd recommend Stila's IT Lip Gloss .. it's so glossy and it has a very nice vanilla-like smell. I basically bought it because it smelt so good! It's RM 85 though.

Hi everyone, according to my experience, if u hav dry or crack lips, u can try applying petroleum jelly (Vaseline in this case) b4 u go to bed, the next day while u brush ur teeth, u actually can wash it away too. After that, u can feel ur lips softer n tender laugh.gif Then, u just need to apply any lipbalm or lip gloss b4 u go out for the day.

Even i went holidays at countries which temperature is at negative degrees, i did the same n the effect is just awesome!! thumbup.gif

To me, lasting doesn't mean can be lasted for how long. Instead, even after I eat and drink, the color still can be seen - now that's what I called lasting. smile.gif

If you all want to know what are cancerous, you can go to Popular bookstore to seek for books from the author Consumer Association of Penang (CAP).

And as for Lip Balm, i would suggest Forever Living Product's lip balm. It smells naturally nice and it is made from Stabalized aloe vera which is good. Its only RM12. If anyone is interested, can PM me. I could provide more information.

i am not sure what other brand uses the lip gloss/balm are made of... but FLP's Lip Balm is 100% natural.. so, its pretty safe as sometimes we might consume little by little when we eat.

I like the one from Maybelline (Watershine or something). I'll apply lip balm too, I feel it's longer lasting.

I like bodyshop lip balm too. Have a pot of Born Lippy mango peach lip balm. Smells really delicious like I can just eat it.

BUT it gives a very oily instead of a wet and supple look. It looks like I just stuffed my face with a lot of oily food after applying the balm.

Quote from an article

Unchap and beautify your lips with this technique.

For soft, beautifully kissable lips, you need the following: a washcloth (I抦 not kidding either), warm water, and your favorite brand of lip balm.

First you apply a coat of lip balm. Then wet one corner of the washcloth, put the warm wet corner of the washcloth between your lips, press them together and hold for 5 seconds.

Then gently massage any remaining lip balm from lips with the wet corner of the washcloth, and dry lips with a corner thats dry.

Apply lip balm again to keep your lips chap free. You may also apply lipstick or lip gloss on over the layer of lip balm.

I learned this was the best way to keep lips from chapping, after going through too many winters with dried, and chapped lips.

Hi girls, I have some good stuff such as lipgloss and many more. U guys are welcome to view it in my trade zone thread here:

My Cosmetics & Fragrance Thread
thumbup.gif

There are only some of it, i have thousands more products. Neway, talking about lipgloss, i think it helps to make your lips plumper and kissable. It may also makes your lips look healthy, young and camouflage the chappy lips.

Am voting for Stila lipgloss range such as lip polish, lip glaze and twinset gloss. I do love Benefit as well, but it's too expensive for me. But am still Benefit fans anyway (cos the pakaging is sooo cuteee). I love their Dr. Feel Good and Lip Plumper. But, why buy expensive stuff if i cud get stuff that way cheaper and have the same or better quality??

Shud u guys wanna know where i get those bargain cosmetics at wholesale price, I encourage u guys to check my thread smile.gif. Oh and i dun sell imitate, reject, expire or damage items. It's basically cheating and stealing..

Tah tah

p/s: please do check my other thread as well for losing weight product . Click HERE Oh and to YELLOWZ...u can get the LOCCITANE in my make up website as well. Check the thread given earlier! icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

Lip Balm or lip treatments are usually good in treating chapped lips and keep your lips moisturized. But more normally they are colorless. What you may like to try is to mix some multiuse pigments to you lipbalm to make it color tinted. That way u don't have to spend a fortune to have many many lip glosses.. tongue.gif

Hi ladies out there,

You may try Mary Kay Lip gloss only RM48.00.
If lip too dry, you may use the lip mask RM45 and lip balm RM35 to maintain ur lip more to red natural color, smooth and less lip line. Please PM me if interested in, thanks! thumbup.gif

Just something to share...
I've been using lip products such as lip balm, lip gloss and lipstick for more many many years already. I heard a lot of people saying that lip colour can change due to long term usage of lip products. But however, mine is fine. still ruby red i would say. I have red lips since young and always will choose lighter shades to mask away my natural lip colour. So i dont think the lips products change my lip colour. Maybe i'm lucky. I dont know.

My recommendation for good lip products are below:

Lip balm:
1) For cheaper option, Lippy from The Body Shop. I go for Cranberry. Pls note that Cranberry is a limited edition range where its only available for Christmas. The scent is very sweet but no taste.
2) For spluge option, Anna Sui Lip Balm. It's very moist and smooth on your lips. With Rose scent.

Lip stick:
1) For cheaper option, Maybelline.
2) For splurge, Shu Uemura. Very smooth and light. But opt for soemthing else is you want something more long lasting. Bcos most lip products with smooth texture wont last that long.

Lip gloss:
1) For cheap option, Sorry, i cant provide option for this one. Bcos i havent find a good and cheap lip gloss yet. They are OKOK only. Cant compare them with the expensive range.
2) For splurge, Lipglass from MAC, Juicy Tubes from Lancome (psst, some juicy tubes frm Lancome has a hint of sweetness when you lick them drool.gif )

I hope my suggestion helps. thumbup.gif

I think Revlon's lipgloss are good. I used to have one nudy lustre, very natural colour smile.gif

Maybelline fruity jelly is not bad too ! Just tried my friend's one last night haha!

Lancome juicy tubes, I find it not very long lasting but it really smells nice and tastes good haha ~

Lip balm I'm using born lippy and lip butter from The Body Shop.
Lip butter is really moisturising, you can leave it on at night and the next morning your lips will be really moist.

for lipbalm, i would vote for lipice. it's cheap, moist and i believed it protects my lips from darkening (cuz they're still pink although i wear lipstick almost everyday.)

for lipgloss, i love mac lipglass the most. couldn't remember the exact price but it's within RM55 - RM65. i've tried dior kiss and clinique's but they made my lips dry.

No, to dampen lips you use lipbalm, lipgloss is to make your lips look shiny and make it look poutier than ever! ^^

I have tried only two brands of lipgloss, maybelline and an European brand (cant rbr the name now) which sells super cheap.

My conclusion: Use the branded and well-known stuff, cuz the cheaper ones aren't as glossy, and u need to apply more to achieve the same glossy effect as applying abit of the good brand. tongue.gif

I know branded lipgloss may be pricey, but its worth it. Well depends on how u use it tho. I love my lipgloss colour so much that i only use that one colour blush.gif

Here's my experience with lipgloss

- Stila
Pros: nice smell, goes on smooth, in nice easy-to-apply click pen applicator, very super shiny lips
Con: not much product in tube, expensive

- Bloom
Pros: very smooth, all Bloom products have nice smell, not sticky
Cons: in tube (but is preference i guess)
RM50ish (forgot)

- Kiehl's
Pros: smooooooth, my new favorite esp since it's quite cheap too
Cons: in tube lol
RM49

- Drugstore brands (Maybelline, Loreal etc)
Pros: cheap
Cons: sticky sticky sticky, smell & taste funny

Gonna try MAC lipglasses next. Heard they are very nice.

I started to use lipgloss, mostly because of my friends' obsession with it..
Have discovered that Mac is really good. Very moist and most importantly stays on!!
However, since it's costly, bought a few lip ice ones to put everywhere biggrin.gif

Ok, I have no idea whether anyone still responds to this thread, but here goes!

Anyone know whether Bourjois Effet 3D in #97 Chair Authentic is still in production? My tube's finishing, and it's my favourite lipgloss!

My aunt bought it for me from Singapore, anyone can check whether it's still there?

If it's discontinued, anyone know something that's similar in colour? It's a very very sheer pink/peach colour...

Rimmel~~ where can I get that?
Well, I found that lipice doesn't suit me, its lip balm doesn't suits me too.. and I get some from SASA, but i realised I got the wrong 1, cuz I got the ones which have shiny gold thingy 1... n i feel my lips get dried after apply that.. so i'm looking for plain lip gloss~~

im using color fever gloss lancome, it's not bad .moisture, smooth, shiny and the most attractive is the glassy tube.. looks cute and romantic with its symbolic rose flower.. plus the applicator is in the form of a heart..haha. infact that's the main reason i buy it  tongue.gif

I like lancome lip gloss too, my sister is the supporter of Lancome lip gloss thumbup.gif

Vaseline's the best!
I apply every night before sleep and wash it in the morning.
My lips will crack if I missed even 1 day.

Lip gloss is actually not suitable to use when u r gonig to expose to the sun light. Experts in Japan found that expose too much of sunlight while u r applying lip gloss, it might cause cancer.

For me, i use the body shop-passion fruit lip butter..It's nice..gals, can try it up..

i love using HABA's lip gloss.. i can use it alone or on top of a lipstick. though the color might look dark or something but once apply on your lip, it looks so natural. the best lip gloss ever.

Try TruColors. Inspired by Hollywood fame and glamour in Los Angeles, its collection of lip glosses have been certified non-toxic, is lead free and uses only U.S. FDA approved ingredients. My friends are using, it looks very natural and smell good too.

^ that's neutral color lipstick/ lip gloss. perfect for nude lips.

anyway, my favorite lipgloss is none other than HABA's. very moisturizing not overly sticky. goes on really smoothly and naturally on me.

shiseido maquillage is not bad too.. but a tad bit sticky and it will also leave some lip gloss line after a while.

currently i have bought canmake lip gloss.. the one in tube. really shinny! love it. tend to get more and wanna try out the nude color this time.

You can try apply with nude lip liner pencil ( lately found out from Stage RM 12 only ! ) followed by clear color lip gloss. If for shooting/taking photos effect ( which no long hour application ) You can directly apply concealer on your lips ( remember not to lick your lips ya biggrin.gif ) followed by clear color gloss... hehehe..

Added on April 4, 2011, 5:55 pmI late use lip lacquer from NYX cause it gives really very juicy effect but doesnt make me feels like it's dripping out ( as some lipgloss a little bit watery if u apply more on lips ) tongue.gif

I hate those lip gloss with shimmer in it. I find that it dries out my lips and looks weird after that until I re-apply it.

Anyone knows any lip gloss without any shimmer in it?

Personally I use 3 in 1 lip gloss. The one that comes with LED light + mirror + lip gloss. I bought it after seeing it recommended in 女人我最大 and for it's tecnology which enable me to apply it easily as it comes with a mirror together. and I also like the convenience of the LED which I can apply it when clubbing and use it as a LED light in concert, lol^^.

After using it, I found that the the texture and the effect of the lip gloss itself is very good. The ingredient which is come together with Vitamin C, E, caviar extract, ...ect. really moisture my lips and it is very long lasting. I used to have Estee Lauder, Lancome and now it has become one of my most like lip gloss.

Because I like the product very much and I have personally tried and using it, so I carry it in my online shop as well. You can check it out at www.facebook.com/akeies for the item. Cheers smile.gif

Dear Jaemmae,

I used to hate shimmer lip gloss too... as I have "not too think lips" , so I used to feel that the shimmer make my lips too touching. tongue.gif

Even i went holidays at countries which temperature is at negative degrees, i did the same n the effect is just awesome!!  thumbup.gif

I agree with pinkbee.

I like Vaseline too. I use it to moisture my lips and when going to cold country, my lips are easily dry and I like to use nivea lip balm. Handy and convenience to apply.

I find lip gloss dry up our lips and a little damaging anyhow. Eventually i start sourcing the most natural way... like the handmade one that ana mentioned. I use to import this yummy smelling from MLS from US They have 500 flavor.... Very nice... then there is this msian girl imported. i was super happy...but this girl doesn't import anymore since last year... SOB.

Found barysimple.blogspot.com have 50 flavors. Natural stuff. Been using for 2 years of MLS lippy. Got my natural lip color back... HEHEHEHEHEHE
