QUOTE(Aurora Boreali @ Mar 6 2010, 05:36 PM) How widely is AMEX accepted? The perks are really attractive. It's just that I don't know if I can fully utilize them. I mostly use my credit cards on dining... and flight tickets (huge chunk of it) but MAS doesn't accept AMEX. I thought MAS accepts AMEX? Online anyway...

QUOTE(Aurora Boreali @ Mar 8 2010, 10:09 PM) Nope. Double checked before posting. Visa and Mastercard were the only options. Yes I'm talking about online booking. I recall reading about MAS accepting Amex and I found it.... QUOTE The Malaysia Airlines website now accepts American Express card as payment for online bookings. Please note that payment with American Express is accepted for all currencies with the exception of MYR (Malaysia Ringgit).Source: http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/hq/en/bkin...nt-options.aspxBah what's with double standard...

QUOTE(cenkudu @ Mar 10 2010, 07:01 PM) By the way I've asked Maybank to upgrade my card to platinum. looks like it has been approved but in M2U it not replacing the previous gold card instead they have put another platinum card. can we hold two same type of card at different level (platinum and gold)? It is their MO. You need to cancel the old card yourself manually. Else u get charged 2 x GST

furthermore only a special TNG card can be reloaded. And they don't sell them loose. So you can't even do a family package thing.
