Nope, don't have a supplementary card...
Btw, I think supplementary card charge in not RM70 but RM35 (for classic card)
*
I used to have a CIMB classic mastercard as well.
Well, I canceled it once the tax was announced.
CIMB didn't offer much besides the free for life (back then).

So what I would suggest is, just cancel it.
Remember to fax in cancellation letter, scan a copy and email to them.
after that call them and resend the email until they give you a response.

I canceled mine back in late Nov, now still haven't got the confirmation letter that my card is canceled although I've got the informal email confirmation.

Good luck. wink.gif

If you're looking for a card for convenience, any visa/MC will do.
If you pump alot of petrol then go for citibank shell.

but if you're looking for cash rebates then go for cards such as uob one.

Just my 2sen.

I got a mail from EON bank cc saying that I'm in the run for the Reader's Digest contest.
Anyone getting the EON-Reader's Digest promotion?

i din.
btw, wat is that promo?
*
Saying that Reader's Digest randomly picked the cardholders for a chance to win a sum amount of money.

Some few years back, my brother was notified by Reader's Digest for this similar contest. He bought some sets of books but eventually didn't win anything. laugh.gif

is it true that EON cc offer to waive rm 50 by swapping 3 times?
*
I was told that if i swipe 36times a year then they'll waive for me la.
But that's verbal not written.

Even if charge also i'm willing to pay cause the annual rebates that i get from them is a lot.
And their services is really good compared to my other CC/banks.

So far so good. rclxms.gif laugh.gif

Is it true that your credit card must be at least ONE year before you can amend your credit limit (i.e. increase or decrease)?

I've called the EON bank service center and the CSO mentioned the card need to be at least a year before can increase / decrease limit.

This was not informed by the other CSO.
Maybe will call again later.

Btw, which rebate card that you all are using and enjoy using?
Thinking of applying another on top of my current one.

Thanks.

Good to use cash as it was asset. Credit card is liability.

I only use credit card for auto debit and buy something important and pay with installment biggrin.gif
*
Credit card is way better. It is a cashflow enhancer if used correctly. smile.gif
Besides helping you in terms of cashflow, it comes with points and rebates where you don't get using cash. laugh.gif

Btw, Alliance bank customer service good?

Any other negative points regarding Alliance bank's CC?
I assume you're an existing cardholder. laugh.gif

Others please feel free to share your Alliance bank CC experience.

Thanks in advance for those who reply to this.

woo, patient bro biggrin.gif
btw, bro cheez, did you ask EON Bank CS about the way to waive RM50 service tax on EON Bank card?
36 swipes / RM5,000 spend in a year?
*
Ya, the last time around I was offered to swipe 36 times a year to waive it but I didn't have anything recorded in verbal or written.
Nvm la. Since their service is good and the rebate is way over RM50, I don't mind paying it. laugh.gif

the only rebate i got when go to carefour

There are loads of cards out there. Many of them are co-branded cards.

It really depends on your personal lifestyle.
I basically charge everything that's chargeable via credit card payment and settle them once it reaches it's due date.
From this, I get points and also the rebates.
Since those expenses are to be used every month, why not use it wisely.
Just my way on how to earn more from CC. laugh.gif There might be better ways.

MBF absord the GST IF you apply their new card and make balance transfer (BT).
Source to your statement or else don't mislead others.

I saw nothing from MBF site that says it'll bear the GST for you. smile.gif

Alliance bank's rebate card seems to be a good option.
UOB's one card is another option.
But from book comparison, Alliance's is better than UOB's.

You can try to seek out those 2.

For changing ONLY the postcode number :-
- I faxed the same form for the past 3 months, and not changed
- Then it took me 2 visit to their branch to fill up the form to make the changes.

That's how bad to me ;-)

Anyone apply alliance bank unique card?
I read to their website it indicated 2% cash rebate for all transaction. Is it real? Do you guys getting 2% cash rebate for all? Do this bank absorb GST?
I am currently holding Ikea card. But i think this card do not give cash rebate at all. Shall I change to this new card?
the website also stated giving 10000 bonus point for new application. Anyone of you getting the point as well?

Offer ends 28 February 2010.
Do take note.

Call and ask customer service to confirm whether the offer is still on before applying.

I'm also considering of applying one but the promotion ended on the 28th Feb 2010. So I will for them to have an extension period of the promotion. laugh.gif

Btw, HSBC is now giving an attractive rebate for those who applied ONLINE.
Maybe some of you who are interested can go have a look. smile.gif
