Hopes you are not thinking that I am stalking on your Forte  brows.gif  brows.gif . I just remember this morning that I need to fetch my wife after she drops her car for Warranty claims + services. Was still thinking you were visiting Sg. Nibong until I woke up and went to the Honda SC... and saw the first Forte which is not in Showroom.

Was curious on the "Nissan" on your car though tongue.gif
*
I was a bit surprised but really happy to finally meet up with you in person biggrin.gif

hahaha regarding the Nissan road tax holder (dont know what it calls) ... the seller doesn't have KIA (he said Kia "leng mui boh beh la") so might as well get Nissan and later after tinting (hopefully my friend has not branded or Wingard one), will pass it to my gf, cos she is driving Latio ma biggrin.gif

Just checked with a friend from Singapore who has changed to K wheel cap and accordingly to him, its pretty easy to DIY. I will try it out over the long weekend and come up with a step-by-step guide with photo so that everyone can just DIY smile.gif

Why bother changing the NAZA logo?  As long as you drive the car on Malaysian roads, people would definitely know its NAZA Forte, not KIA Forte.  Unless you wanna drive it in Singapore or Thailand.  Baffles me !
*
One word only "syok" lo tongue.gif ... cos it doesn't improve the performance, but improve slightly the look (based on personal preference) biggrin.gif

As for me, i dont like the NAZA branding and i just want to make it looks exactly the same as the Forte in Korea (with sharkfin antenna) icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm interested to join your group buy but i still not sure the delivery status for my 2.0 Forte & surely many of us here willing to do the same if they're able to get their cars by next month. If NAZA still unable to fulfill their SA's promise (during my pre-launch booking) to deliver my car this coming January, I have to opt for other options..slyphy, lancer or civic perhaps. cannot withstand to ride kapcai anymore longer..been riding it for a month now  sweat.gif
*
No worries bro, the group buy ends on 6-Jan-10 ... still got a week to go and hopefully you will receive good news from your SA next week biggrin.gif

Yes. I going to change the emblem this 2 days.

May I know anyone know the detail procedure, do we need to clean the surface after take out NAZA emblem and before stick new emblem?

I do not know whether this 3M sticker strong enough to stick new "KIA" emblem hmm.gif
*
Bro, no worries once you remove the NAZA emblem, the double side tape from the NAZA emblem is very easy to remove from the surface and once it is cleaned and dried, just stick on the KIA emblem, the 3M sticker is very strong and will hold very tightly smile.gif

The open angle is pretty wide both the front and back doors. I would say around 85 degrees smile.gif

Hi! I had visited the NAZA authorized accessories shop at SS2 ExcelCOOL, the boss ~ Keith Teo offer me below items which link to Naza Galaxy:-

1) OEM Kia alarm with Siren 12V = RM550
*Only difference with sound come out instead of light show

2) Anti Glass Break sensor = RM180
    *Optional sensor for alarm

3) OEM KIA (NZ TinT) 4 mil security film = RM1500
*IRR 94%, highest range and same type as Winguard Royale type, OEM brand Red Barrier
    *Addon Discount from SA RM300

4) Body kit (OEM) with colour from Naza Galaxy= RM2250
*Simple look like additional layer from original design
    *Wait for next better design

5) Door Visor (4pcs) from Korea with Forte name printed= RM160
*Standard 2" + with black colour
I still figure out the tint type comparison with Ecotint, 3M, Aircool, LLumar.
Do not know OEM brand good or not but tested with the demo.
The result is acceptable only brand name issue...

Hope someone can provide more info to upgrade our FORTE!!! nod.gif

Bro, Forte 2.0SX seems to be your "first love" cannot let go hahaha tongue.gif ... Maybe you want to give it another try ... try Juru Autocity sales branch cos the sales branch has more allocation as compared to dealers and if you are lucky, you might get the 2nd batch in mid Jan'10 (if this is true of course smile.gif).

JOe891,

Saw your black Forte parked at the side of the building. smile.gif Branch manager said it's the last car of the first batch. Your chassis number is 6XXX.
4te, you bought from Juru as well?
Got same deal as cylee, full tank + door visor. Didn't want the visor so he's gonna give me cash. hehe...
The only reason I booked from branch is the fast delivery compared to dealer but dealer service will be so much better. Branch-one like Government depts. Very slow & inefficient. Will keep your blood boiling & boiling until you receive your car!

Congrats on your new white Forte smile.gif

I got mine from Macalister Road Branch ... same blood boiling experience ... and minus all the freebies (free emblem only, but not yet paid me) vmad.gif mad.gif doh.gif

don't mind trading with branded new 16" + new tires.

I dont think the stock rims and tires could fetch a high trade in value unless you can find a buyer (1.6 EX owner).

hmm i'm quite curious, are all the Fb ppl so angry becos
- they hav some misconception that cars can be made to order overnight like chocolate cake?
or
- becos some SA has given them false expectation of super-fast delivery?

cos H and T also 3 months waiting list for some models. what do u expect for a sellable car? :-P
*
I think NAZA shouldn't have launched 2.0 in the first place knowing that they couldn't bring in any (sorry, only one for the launch at pavilion) for whatever reasons. When my fren's mom booked for the new City before it was launched, she got the car within a month after it was launched ... well as for the Forte 2.0SX buyers, none on the road after 1+ months from the launch date and no certain date of arrival/delivery ... and on top of that inconsistent date of delivery (some said mid Jan, some said March and even up to 6 months) ... T & H have so many of their cars on the road and selling like hot cakes, thats why 3 months waiting list is understandable ... but no 2.0SX on the road, meaning poor planning before launching ... too bad and sorry for those 2.0SX buyers cry.gif

BTW, to all 2.0 buyers, if the unit that you get is without Cruise Control, please dont be surprised or angry cos its not in the specs and i believe the one at pavilion is the version for Korea or other country. How could the marketing team missed out the Cruise Control, which is an extra feature to kill the T & H hmm.gif ... BTW, a photo in Forte.my (Ride & Handling) even shows the car with sharkfin antenna rclxub.gif

Good news for those who are interested, I managed to further push down the price to RM125 per set (4 pieces) COD and please add RM6 for PosLaju smile.gif

For those from Penang or prefer COD, the earliest date for COD is 22-Jan-10 (Friday) and I will Poslaju out all those from outside Penang on 23-Jan-10 (Saturday).

The price above is for 15 sets and I will be buying the balance (if we cannot get 15 sets by tomorrow) and I will sell them to whoever interested after this group buy, but of course at a higher price cos dont think there will be a 2nd group buy smile.gif

Update on 5-Jan-10, we have a total of 7 sets (1 person cancelled),

Lowyat - 2
Forte Malaysia - 3

have read in some car magazines before that generally TSER should be in the range of 45% - 55%

no such thing as TSER >60%

anyway i'm hoping that the stock glass will also contribute in the overall cabin temperature reduction since they claimed that there's certain percentage of IRR block on the glasses biggrin.gif
*
Actually the stock tint does a good job during normal day with clouds ... but on a clear sky with full blast of sun day, quite hot i would say as compared to my gf's Latio with 3M tint but i feel around 30% better than my Spectra without any tint.

So the best thing to do before going for tinting is to test it for 2 weeks, if you are ok with the stock tint, then save the $ for tinting and spend on other stuff icon_rolleyes.gif

If there is a TT for Penang members, I would like to do a test on tinting ... compare the tint quality by doing:

1. set the aircon to auto, no outside air circulation and 24 degree (so the test doesn't take too long)
2. park 3 Fortes with different tint (one should be with only the stock tint) under direct hot sun for an hour or two
3. start engine and on the auto aircon at the same time for all 3 Fortes
4. Record the time it takes for the aircon to reduce to 6 bars, 3 bars and 1 bar

Then we can have the true result of the stock tinting and other branded tinting icon_rolleyes.gif

Seems like a few are interested to test too ... at least we can know whether the $$$ spent on tinting is worth it or not ma ... maybe you guys from KL can perform the test cos more cars and can get the matching colour to test biggrin.gif
