You are right. For continental car, they have this rev range "check" to prevent gearbox damage. But for Forte, not sure about it.

What will happen actually? Or at 110km/h, u swift to 3rd or 2nd, nothing happens, and stay at 4?

I will hold until mid of Jan, anyway it is just 2 weeks from now. Be patient? I am not sure, coz I am pissed.
But, I know I can't afford 36k more for Civic 2.0. So, it's either Forte 2.0 or something else.

I believe the increase is to settle the taxation structure, due to the previous batch is a huge competition to the national car. Hence, I think those who booked shouldn't be impacted, and 2.0 should come in !!!!

ON the NKVE highway, saw one titanium silver forte, WTHx138 , with King Long emblem forte passed by with high speed and over took me.

Too fast for me to snapshot, but after that SMS the owner, guess who is it?

Just too bad for Naza/KIA.
Coz, most of us will cancel the booking if that is true.

I have currently booked at two places, not sure if anyone is interested in taking one of the booking. I was on the 1st in the queue for that dealer.

Not sure that is the good sign or not.
If the car is not as popular as it was expected, it is a failure of Naza, and it brings bad to the existing user.

Hi,

maybe you have wrong perception on CKD. The performance will be the same, because no matter CKD and CBU, the engine the same. KIA doesn't manufacture the car here, they are just assemble the parts, such as tyre, doors, etc.

In terms of the quality, KIA Malaysia has very huge assurance that it will be under control, no matter where the car is assembled.

- Called careline twice last week, my name is in the system but no car allocation yet. i.e. no Chassis number. Make sense, coz no car yet mah.
- called to my SA, he is very firm also, cars have arrived at port, and can get by end of Jan, otherwise he will return my deposit + d/p
- Spoken to the manager at the branch too two week ago during test drive, he is very sure also can get car by end of Jan.

The branch has very good service, and compliment by Victor Yong that has solved his noisy engine after 1000km service.

Guys,

Remember our early "agreement", we all had decided to give one more opportunity to Naza and ourselves, if the car is not here by end of Jan, we are going to cancel booking or downgrade to 1.6(SX). Though, I am not sure how many of you would do that.

I will definitely cancel the booking if the car is not here by end of Jan. So, mean while till end of Jan, what I can do is waiting, i.e. giving everybody a chance before jumping to conclusion.
