I was surprised by the sheer size of the PB Ultra13. It  needs a dedicated HT room for it to shine methinks.
The bass was so well controlled and tactile. My PC12-NSD sounds anemic in comparison.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well it integrated with music.
I think the positioning plays a big part. Mine is corner loaded due to space constraints and I guess it overwhelms the music. Tweaking is in the works now.
I was thinking a another PC12-NSD for the other corner, but after listening to this monster, I am torn at maybe getting just one of this 13Ultra to replace the PC12. Any comments?

It had sailed out. Waiting for principal to reply on the eta port date. Normally, takes abt 5-8 working days to get it in.

I am hoping the SB10-NSD would be a 'killer' when it's being launched. Probably around RM2.8K range or lower.

Amazon US is selling the Velodyne SMS-1 (Room correction/bass management like SVS EQ-1) for only $399.....

Only have SCS-01 at the moment. Need to get STS-01 in. Anyway, will PM you the price

You wanna your whole system to be certified by SVS? 
Later you need power amp to produce the sufficient juice to drive the 6ohms speakers

Ask them to jump straight into SVS entry sub to save $$. Sure later they will upgrade! 

Why everybody seems to let go ported subs & go for SB series?? I thought sealed sub does not produce much slam in movies compare to ported sub? Maybe you all start to listen to music or watch concerts more nowadays

This unit is one of the few 'prototype' and good enough to see production in near future. B&O gave some inputs on the improvement on it and tweaks have been done on this unit. More photos will be updated tomorrow on this BFS-1000TA 150W x 7 ICE power amp. You guys can sample this unit even on this weekend.

1. Movie
(Both connected to 5 channels only)

Test materials : Terminator Salvation, DF & Friends, TDK

SVS shines in HF. It exhibits clearer details. In TS' 7-11 scene, as Kyle walks into it, you can hear the finer details of the shoes grinding the earth. This is also noticable in DF as there is much HF details now. TDK also sounds crispier now.

The vocal sounds as much the same. SVS seemingly a tad wider. The mid-bass punch is greater in SVS than Emo. It is tighter. This is only marginally better.

On power, both also as similar with no distinct difference. Note that it is on power-hungry MTS-01 system. I thought that the 50W difference would yield a difference. I did not calibrate the channel level when switch to SVS.

On Pure Direct :

Test materials : Planet Drum, Jennifer Warnes - The Hunter, Aaron Neville - Warm Your Heart, and Michael Buble - It's time.

WOW! It sounds a whole lot louder than Emo. That's strange .

The SVS sounds larger than life. It is very forward sounding with the vocal being in front. The music pieces sounds large as well. Its bass attack is tight and fast. Sort of like Krell 300Xi's signature. A bit brutal. In Planet Drum, it excels as it is able to reproduce the bass with enough power. Jennifer Warnes' Somewhere Somebody is being reproduced in a wide soundstage and it never lacks the dynamic. It kind of make you to crank louder. The HF shines again for music.

Emo has a tad better refinement in vocal. It is slightly more focus but it lacks the dynamic of SVS. It's kind of a bit laid back.

Since this SVS is a prototype unit and some refinement will be done on the mass production unit, I am looking forward to have the final unit

Both of them, having auditioned the said sealed sub came to the same conclusion. Now, I knew why the 3rd elite uncle set his eyes on the PB13-Ultra to do the LFE for his music.

We tested songs after songs with the PB13-Ultra in 'sealed' configuration. Volume range from -12dB right up to -5dB. I guess they want to know whether distortion is an issue when being driven loud. It holds well and balanced. Next, I shall take the SVS sub over to their hi-fi room to test out. By then, the poison has gone one step further 

We did test out the sub in 'sealed' setting for concerts esp DF & Friends. They like it very much. One of them commented that the vocals are very clear and that the sound is very well calibrated. I am flattered lah    Learned some useful tips from these sifus today 

Which one is that?

Will try 4 subs setup. Each at a corner. Let me see..... 2x 13-Ultra in front and 2x 12-Plus at the back. Enough subs to do that

Will test out the SB10-NSD and SB12-NSD later. The all new PC12-Plus and PC13-Ultra will have to wait til on the eve of KLIAV. I wonder what will be the improvements for the 800W PC12-Plus and 'steriod-pumped' 1000W on the PC13-Ultra.
