I'll keep 1 plat & 1 classic from 2 dif banks & 2 dif brands.
Bank U - Visa Bank C - MC
Added on December 31, 2009, 9:48 amI think the GST causes all parties lose-lose situation.
Banks - Receive tons of cancellation request. - Force to issue free upgrade + increase CL. - Higher operating cost & credit risk exposure
Card-holders - Force to initiate card cancellation - Those with easi-payment are stuck - Receive pre-apporved upgrade card where they might not qualify or can't afford - Could fall into annual fee trap later due to higher waiver requirements. - Need to fork out RM50 GST annually or spend more to off-set.
Gov - Need to wait till Dec-10 because a lot of new issuance in Dec-09 - One more IT system to keep track of GST
At the end the Gov intention to reduce Rakyat expenses does not materialise.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Dec 31 2009, 02:47 PM) Too bad their rewards kinda suck ! Couldn't agree more. Their rewards realy sucks... Added on December 31, 2009, 3:00 pmQUOTE(muscaa @ Dec 31 2009, 10:28 AM) i thought Govt is the clear winner for collecting RM50 tax...oops not Govt.. the cronies indirectly Most card-holders are delaying their cancellation to Dec-10. By then most Rakyat would carry 1 or 2 high CL CC in thier wallet. This post has been edited by patricktoh: Dec 31 2009, 03:00 PM
