yeah.. as long as not battling for relegation survival, i dont mind being a mid-table team a couple of years if start from scratch. last time during the darker days we had a couple of bright talent comes out from the academy. it might turned up that way again.

plus it might as well make the yanks to bail out and sold it out to hopefully a better owner.

the yanks are not dumb to sell the club at a loss.
only way right now of cos is to sell players.
and if they do, who would want to buy the club with no star players?
*
you are not reading all the post properly.. what i've said is the scenario after selling the star players. starting from scratch. selling torres/gerrard/reina and others would have scored the club millions of pound.

and youre right, the yanks is not stupid. they are a greedy bunch of tards that will find a way to sell at profit or at least marginally loss.

it's LFC we are talking about, as long as the club still in the PL. there will be always some other rich btards who want to buy the clubs..

"I'd also try to bring in the Celtic's Aiden McGeady and even Bolton's Kevin Davies."

is it really Aldo saying that? though i think the writer made it up but if it's true then what a shame..

i dont mind about the naming rights as long as its not a dodgy name.. smile.gif

the yanks didn't use their pocket money when they bought the club. they get a loan instead. if they get another loan to finance the stadium.. don't know how stingy they'll get when buying players.

The only upside from this downfall is to have less "glory hunting fans" for Liverpool.

not much "glory" to hunt for anyway.. maybe istanbul, FA and that's it

most of us liverpool fans just addicted to heartbreak and frustration, i suppose. tongue.gif

less than 6 months ago we were beating top team and playing classic liverpool pass-n-move. hell yeah i'd expected we at least gonna mounted a serious battle for title. come december, everything in shambles and now resorted to target the pathetic 4th spot while playing like unconvincing league 1 outfit. last night when 2nd half started and saw gerrard benched for babel i have the feeling we would lost. it clearly shown rafa's prioritize the PL to save his ass.

we could blame the yanks and alonso departure but that's not an excuse. rafa have been here for 5 seasons and he should now have a solid team and tactics that can handle personnel change. but, dejavu.. it's houllier's last season all over again.

imho his way not to get close to players might also hurt some confidence of the players.

early on the season i said i'd give rafa 2 more season. now i'd say if finish anywhere lower than 4th, time for rafa to be a man.. take the blame and resign. sacking only added to liverpool debt.

sissoko was about to sign for everton than rafa call last minute.. he was not a bad signing. he did great (b4 eye injury) and got profit too for selling him.

kuyt in you look at the big picture.. not really a flop either
